Other than Johnny in Kalamazoo I don't know any other owners in the Western part of Michigan. I received the schedule of events for the Ferrari Club of Michigan and they are all on the East side of the state.

It would be nice to have some drives around this area with other owners. So if you are interested respond to this thread and maybe we can plan some things.

    Buddy,
We will be having some events on the west side; usually 1 is an overnighter so we can involve more people. Looking forward to meeting you.

Sounds good, I will be down for some meets in Lansing which would be halfway for both sides.

I'm in Kalamazoo. I live close to Johnny. Where in Michigan are you from? PM me and we can exchange emails. There is a group car owners here that frequently gather for car events. Would love to have you join us.

There are more Ferrari owners in West Michigan than you would think. it's just hard to get them out to do anything. I'm in Hudsonville (between GR and Holland), my Dad is in Grand Rapids.

Yeah I took my Cobra to the one off M6 once. It's kind of wierd because you have to register and be worthy of going I guess.

Yeah we need to do something if not just get together to drink and bs about our cars.

Theres a C&C in kzoo but I barley found evidence of it no real advertising until after the fact.

I'm down for whatever. I'm in Holland.

Also, it looks like we will be doing a FCA event in Holland; tentatively September 16-17

Yes, I was invited to this twice last year, but it required not only signing up, but committing to a block of hours, and I just didn't want to be "stuck" that long. Too many other things I need to do on a Saturday!

The Masarati dealership has an Italian Gathering in the Summer and that's a fun Grand Rapids event.

Need to find a place we can do cars and coffee and just anyone can come until the lot is full. Any ideas?

I agree that the current GR Cars & Coffee is overly demanding. Something a little more casual, come and go as you have time, would be nicer. Maybe instead of competing with the current event we could convince them to loosen up a bit.

To your question, there are a lot of restaurants, coffee shops and big parking lots at the Kalamazoo exit off M-6

28th street SE near Cascade Rd has a D&W with a big parking lot, a Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts.

If we wanted to limit it to mainly Italian cars we could contact the people at Zeigler Maserati to see if we could use their dealership in Grandville.

    All good suggestions!
Now we need to find a Saturday or Sunday that works for us...

How about March 11 or 12? Is 10am a good time for everyone?

We won't be driving Ferrari's in March! Are you just talking about meeting for coffee or lunch?

Well, you're probably right, but you never know...I drove my 308 to Ann Arbor and back a few weeks ago on January 21st!

I did think we were talking about getting a meeting established soon, but we could also wait for warm weather.

We need some input from everyone as to whether Grand Rapids will work and whether Saturday or Sunday is preferred. How about it guys?

Most Sundays are not going to work for me so I would vote for Saturdays
I don't mind meeting in March but I don't think I will have my car out yet.
Are we thinking about meeting once a month ?

Saturday is better for me also. Sure once a month would be great and if we can find a weekly place for a cars and coffee.

How about the 4th Saturday of each month...10am?
And Charles can figure out the location?

Once we meet once or twice, we might decide to stay put, or choose a different location, or even rotate locations (GR, Kzoo, Holland, etc). We just have to get started.
