Maroon Porsche 911 (996) Carrera 4S followed very closely by a black Lotus Exige on 65/69 heading south towards Indianola, near the Carlisle turn off, at around 9:15 this morning.

Very Nice!

I had heard a rumor a while back about such a car being somewhere in eastern Iowa..... but, no one ever substantiated it. So, I did not know for sure.

Can you release any more details about the car or the owner? Is he/she here on F-chat?

Last I knew in 2009 John F. Megrue Jr. owned this car. If anyone knows that it was sold to an Iowa buyer I would like to know, I have been given a name that attaches it to Cedar Rapids.

That's interesting, Steve. I had heard Iowa City ---- but, 25 miles is well within "close enough to be consistent" evidence for me .

More Iowa cars

Lake Forest Ferrari came and got my car yesterday for yet another repair. I helped the driver pick up a Maserati and a 599 from Mr. Ole. He also has a Yellow Testarossa and a Red 458 Italia. Very nice man and pleasant to talk to.

Youtube ?

Has anyone every looked for exotic cars from Iowa on YouTube ? I got really bored and looked and it was really interesting what I found...

#1
A yellow F430 in Marshalltown...I think we know whose car that is

#2
Aston Martin DBS and RR Phantom Coupe at a gas station in Iowa
The Phantom Coupe looks like the one that was spotted in Glen Oaks a while back

#3
Not the greatest video
F40 at SCCA Auto-X event

#4
Green Murcielago in Clinton

#5
Parade in Davenport
Lamborghini Jalpa (?)...may not even be real...ACR Viper too

#6
Lamborghini Diablo in DM

#7
Saleen S7!!, 2 Ford GT's, and a Viper in Davenport

I'm still searching. There's a few of Fireball Run coming into Cedar Rapids, various exotics there but non from Iowa that I could see.

^ Nice clips

( In the #5 clip ) Incidentally, if you are referring to the black car, in the far lane, at about 1:05 into the video......it is REAL --- but, it is a Pantera......not a Jalpa

Thanks! I was thinking that it didn't look much like a Jalpa and was slightly perplexed as to why someone would make a Jalpa kit. I completely spaced it being a Pantera. Thanks for the heads up on that one.

I did find another one of a bunch of kids talking to a doctor somewhere in Iowa as he's starting his Audi R8. It was red with black sills...anyone seen it or know of it?

Saw this car sitting at the worst possible shop you could take a Ferrari to. Cat prints all over the sheet from being walked on.
