Hello, considering a 430 Spider and have been out of the Ferrari game for a while. I've messaged Tim (2NA) to see if he is still doing Ferrari service already, just wondering if there are any others in the area? I'm located in northern Minnesota by Bemidji but have accepted that I will always have to travel for service.

Is Maserati of Minneapolis an authorized Ferrari service center?

    Thanks!
    Steve

Stick with 2NA he does very good work and doesn't have the tendency to "joyride" his customers vehicles.

No problem Tim. It is just one of many quality factors that seperates you from a clown up there who does do that with customers cars that are supposed to be in storage then commits insurance fraud.

I'm glad to hear about Tim and his capabilities as well and hope to meet him some time in the near future. Previous to that, I only knew of World Ferrari/Donnybrooke in Long lake and Top Gear on Lake St. in Minneapolis (mixed reviews).

I myself have been using EU Autoworks in Stillwater for my Aston Martin and Pantera service over the last few years. They do all makes of European classic/collector vehicles but have been heavy on Jags and Mercedes historically. They just did an engine out on a Testarossa; however they are relatively new to Ferrari.

My 550 just had a major in December, so i will entrust them with my fluid change and inspection this coming fall....very knowledgeable in general and competent...

Short story time. A few years back I purchased my 1st Ferrari- a 2005 F430. Everything I read stated the car had a very high propensity to have cracks in the exhaust headers. Catch them while under warranty, Ferrari replaces (you just have to get it to a dealer), don’t catch them and you eventually replace at your cost- about that of a new Fiat 500. The Maserati dealer looked at the car, listened to it (maybe with a Maserati stethoscope) and said no problem. I decided on a 2nd opinion from an aforementioned independent shop, who also said no problem. I then met Tim at Cars and Coffee. We talked about my concern and he stated the only way he could be sure was to plug a smoke machine into the exhaust and look for any smoke escaping the system under pressure. He did, and found small leaks on both sides. The car went to Chicago and came home with the updated headers- for just the cost of transportation.

Tim is one of those real mechanic guys, not a “throw parts at the problem” tech like I often experience. Skill and wisdom are couple traits you want from the person turning the wrench on your Ferrari- Tim has both.

Tim does all of the service on my 355. Just finished a MAJOR major on it this Spring. With all Tim did this would have cost me super big bucks at a dealer. Car runs phenomenal!
Major, Valves (redone from a previous crappy job). Fixing what QV London screwed up on the header rebuild, New cylinder sleeve, etc. Tim kept me informed every step of the way. Highly recommended. I was able to see everything before and after it was done to the engine.

Another vote for Tim. Will service my car in the future & already works on dad's. High degree of quality, which is self imposed, truly a trusted mechanic

Tim - we met a few years ago at "Wheels of Italy" or something like that. Do you work on Porsches? I have a 2007 GT3.
