I know this isn't until June 2014, but was thinking about getting hotel reservations made early. Wanted to put a feeler out to see who was considering going, and also where you were thinking of staying?

The hosting resort looks very nice; however, was wondering if most stay there or nearby hotels.

Any information that past attendees could share would be appreciated.

Just figured I would get a dialogue started.

    Thanks.

Yep, plan to go, just have to get a Testarossa now!

"The 2014 Ferrari Club of America International Annual Meet will be a memorable event, taking us to the Lansdowne Resort in Leesburg, VA and the Summit Point Race Track for an elegant and exciting celebration. The Meet includes the internationally recognized FCA Concours d'Elegance held at nearby Creighton Farms Country Club in Aldie, VA, a road rally through the beautifil Northern Virginia Hunt Country, three days of racetrack activities, a vendor market (Mercato di Ferrari), seminars, receptions, charity auction and banquet with award presentations.

The theme for this year's Meet is "Celebrating The Redheads" where we pay special tribute to the two eras of the Testa Rossa and Testarossa cars made by Ferrari. From the beautiful pontoon fendered racing cars of the 1950's to the flat 12-cylinder mid-engine cars made famous by the Miami Vice TV show, we'll have a large gathering of "Redheads" at the Annual Meet."

Although the drive is not bad, been there did it in 06 when we had it there. Same deal, same place, etc. It's worth redoing.

For what it's worth, we will be getting a truck ready to transport cars. Let me know if you are interested.

John, you shipping or driving? Shipping me bet…two cars? I found the best TR for sale if you want one, not that you need it by any stretch of the imagination. Taking the Scud and 612?

Of the two venues, Lansdowne is a few miles to my east, and Creighton Farms is a few miles to my south. I can't believe this is all going to happen in my back yard.

Raider, Looking forward to meeting you.

Also BTW guys, I'm setting up the 4th annual Ferrarichat Does Golf tournament to be immediately before or after the annual meet, if you want to bring your clubs up. Always fun parking on the clubhouse lawn :D

Here is the official link from the FCA website. Dates are 6/11-6/15.

    FCA Annual Meet 2012

Piper good to hear you will be there. Don't know if you remember, but you were very helpful in my decision to buy my spider from Ferrari of Washington last year. I see a handshake and a Grey Goose drink in your future.

Odd...I wonder why the link has 2012 on it...hmm.

This will be a fun event. I will never forget how I made the driving instructor holler like a little girl when I almost lost it on the back esses at Summit. You could see stright ahead, first out the right window, then straight our the left window, all at about 90 mph. He had just said I was not doing pushing enough...then he screamed lol. Then he said good save..thank god for that.

You should volunteer as an instructor. I recall instructors taking their cars out in an instructor session. Maserati is allowed but that is all I can recall. You still have the 944 track record there? Multiple tracks still?

That's Lansdowne, right? I could slice golf balls across Goose Creek from my course to theirs. If I ever sliced.

    Correct.

There is a Caddyshack quote there. "Gambling is illegal at Bushwood sir, besides I never slice!"

I am planning on putting my spider on the track for the first time at this event. If you need a student, I would be more than happy to volunteer. That is if you have good knowledge of that track.

Does anyone know how the track days work, as far as days which groups run when? I would be in the Novice / Green or Touring / White. I do have some track experience, but indeed limited.

I am trying to maximize my driving time at this event. I am looking forward to doing the Road Rally, Track Day, and whatever other drives we might get into.
