    Just wondering if I'll have the pleasure of seeing any of our SC/NC friends at VIR march 10/11 for the FCA track days. A very educational couple of days. Our friend Chuck Hawks will be leading the on track portion of the event and our own Peter Krause will be there to offer his expertise to make you better at it with his vast knowledge and high tech equipment.

    Probably bring the track Porsche as well as the old 308 assuming her service is done in time. I need to reach out to Peter about some instruction. I missed him last season and always need help improving.

    I'll be there both days to show off cool stuff and explain how to use it to go quicker, safer:

    AiM SmartyCam (now offers an HD model) from the VIR event two years ago: AiM Solo DL and SmartyCam in a 458 Italia at VIR - YouTube

    Notice the throttle and brake bars to note exactly what the driver is doing.

    ProCoach, awesome video! Need to watch it a couple of 100x, that way I am prepared for my next track day there.

    As far as the Ferrari Track day, Vesper (my spider's name) getting her annual check up next Friday. Depending on the outcome, will depend on my participation in March.

    Worst case I may just make the trip up and hang out.

    This short session started as a lead/follow to show Chip the line. Then we stepped it up a bit to show the bus full of passengers what an SUV is capable of. We had a very small window as the brakes didn't play ball for too long before the pedal would sink to the floor. With passengers we weighed in at over 6000lbs. This X5 still blows my mind and I drive it every day. Also note my son's empty Wendy's bag flying by my face as he neglected to throw it in the trash.
