https://www.facebook.com/CarsCoffeeReynoldaVillage Event starts Sat. March 8 for 2014. Runs 9am-noon at Reynolda Village. Coffee and doughnuts available. Parking is on the far side of the barn, near the old lake.
I lived in W-S in the late 90s. They used to have an annual European car show there at Reynolda (Corsa Rossa Club?). Some awesome cars were displayed at those events.
Weather permitting I'll be there. I missed the coffee and donuts last time which was November 9th. Didn't see any tent or anyone eating donuts. A canine grooming truck did turn up just before I left. Alan
Looks like the Cars & Coffee that was suppose to start back this weekend in Winston has been postponed until April 12th. https://www.facebook.com/CarsCoffeeReynoldaVillage Here's what was posted on their Facebook page: SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT !!!! THE CARS AND COFFEE WINSTON SALEM GATHERING will Begin back Saturday April 12, 2014. We were to start this Saturday, but have conflicts with the The Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance that is this weekend... Please set your calendar for April 12th... lots of fun for that day for sure .. See you then........ -Benjamin
Fresh off the Motori Italiani, I am ready to head to Winston this Saturday. Hope the weather is good.
I'll be there, hopefully with both the Gallardo and the YES! Roadster. Gotta wash the track grime off the Gallardo. I think everyone will like this event- apparently there are some very interesting and uniques cars that show up and it's not as crowded as the other CnC's. Nor do you have to arrive at the crack of dawn. -event runs 9am to noon. Please bring your Special Lady Friends as there is coffee, shopping, a cafe' (with beer!) also available in Reynolda Village.
Friendly reminder about the C&C at Reynolda Village on Saturday from 9am until... Should be some great cars with DCNSX, English Rebel & jerhofer in their unique rides! Hopefully we can get a few more guys to represent the brotherhood! http://www.facebook.com/CarsCoffeeReynoldaVillage -Benjamin
Dumb of me to ask the question when Google is available. Most of the shops open at 10AM, some at 11AM with the dining places open at 11AM.
Perfect day for a perfect gathering. I arrived around 8:30, found a good parking space next to the Italian flag and began looking at cars and talking to people. Lots of interesting cars to see. Probably the rarest car there was a car called "Yes" and made in Germany. It has an all aluminum frame with a turbocharged Audi 3.2 liter motor. Only twenty or so made. Interesting. I fell in love with the 1968 Alfa Duettoparked next to me. It was purchased new by the current owner and was in fantastic condition. These early Duetto's with the chrome bumpers are hard to beat. A Ferrari Boxer and a Maserati Ghibli were parked next to each other. Early mid-engined super cars do not get much better than this. Diametrically opposite of these cars was the '32 Ford and the '54 Chevrolet across the way. Both were fine looking cars. One of my favorite body styles was represented by the 1972 BMW CSL. Beautiful car. I also like the E30 M3. Modern cars were well represented Mclaren and Lamborghini. Lots of Subaru's showed up along with a couple NSX's and a tricked out Honda S2000. The '60's were well represented by a couple of C2 Corvettes. Daniel was there with his Pinzgauer and his eight year old son, Luca. By the time I realized I had not photographed the Pinzgauer, they had left. It was a much smaller gathering than Charlotte's C & C but it made it easier to connect with the various owners. I will be back. Very impressive. Reminds of the Corsa Rossa European car events that used to be held there years back. Unfortunately, I had a race to run in Charlotte this morning - Charlotte RaceFest Half Marathon run. Hope to make it our there sometime in the future.
That is still TBD. I am guessing the Gallardo has a higher top end, but the YES! may accelerate more quickly. Still fine-tuning the YES! and would like to compare some lap times at VIR. Jerry- Thanks for sharing the photos. I was lusting after the 512 BB. I'm glad you took one of the Gallardo next to the E-Type. Two of my favorite automotive shapes, but complete opposites. Front-engine vs. mid. And curves vs. angles!
Just a reminder it's 9am-noon. Nice small venue with shopping and dining for your significant other. Hope to see many of you this Saturday. Free coffee and Krispy Kremes.
Despite threatening clouds we had another great day and a nice turnout. This time the organizers even provided a blues band. And one vendor was selling cocktails. Tthis really is a great small venue to bring out your exotic or collector car.
Is it always the second Saturday in the month. I missed the last one as I had painters at the house. I hope to be there in June. Alan
