Hello all, Weather predicitions for Saturday just keep getting worse and worse. Motori Italiani will be moving to our rain date of April 5th. Everything will be exactly the same, just one week later. If you're already registered, you won't need to do anything. If you now cannot participate due to a schedule conflict, please let me know. Also, I will REOPEN registration through the end of MONDAY, MARCH 31. If you can now join us on the new date, simply email me with your name/year/make/model/exterior/interior. [email protected] Thanks! Kevin Fielden CAFE - Charlotte Area Ferrari Enthusiasts
Kevin, whatever your salary is for this we need to raise it by 10%. What is the line up time for this? I believe the start time is 11am, correct? Deiger
Hey Deiger, I don't have you presently down as registered. If you did and I missed it, my apologies. Just LMK for sure either way. I'll be sending out an email to the group around the middle of next week with directions, arrival times, and other details. You are correct, start time for the show is 11am. See you soon!
My apologizes. I was just trying to determine if I could definitely participate. This weekend was out because I was slated to go to the mountains, but the weather changed that for me. Next week is a strong possibility, plus I would love to participate in my first Motori Italiani, since last year I was just a spectator. As long as I can arrive somewhere between 9:45 and 10am, I am definitely a go. Just in case here are my details: 2003 360 Spider Rossa Corsa with Tan. Thanks buddy for all you do for us here in the Carolinas and Charlotte! I always appreciate it! Deiger
Great Deiger - I've got you down! Sure, arrival in your timeframe will be just fine. Look forward to seeing you next weekend! UroTrash - hate you won't be joining us. Hope to see you at the next gathering!

Wow! Sounds awesome! Can't wait to see everything in person! Many thanks in advance to you, Kevin, for organizing this. I don't see many Ferrari's - or other exotic Italian cars in general - very often, and sure appreciate the opportunity to get a chance to see these in person!
Just wanted to say thank you for putting this together! I brought my wife and she had a great time as well. Interested to see which car took ladies choice, the Maserati was my her choice. Thanks again!

What a great show! Great showing of cars and people. Made a lot of friends at the show and got one h*ll of a sunburn. Due to the long winter, I completely forgot the sun tan lotion. Good time anyway! Thanks Kevin for a great meet! Deiger

Great weather, great cars, great people and great venue equal a great day! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hello all, Once again, we had to make a shift one week, but what a difference it made! Weather was gorgeous, we had great participation, the mix of vehicles was very eclectic, and the crowd was the largest to date! Of course there are many to thank for making this all come together: First of all, thanks to YOU for participating, spectating, getting the word out, and more! Thanks to our host venue, 131 Main Restaurant. This event began with them and continues to be CAFE's biggest event of the year. Thanks to Automotive International for graciously continuing the great tradition of having us all over for the "After Party". The gathering was extremely well attended, the food was fantastic, and it was the perfect way to wind-down after a long day! The event certainly couldn't have come together without our helpers: John Abel, Kerry Beach, Brian & Del Caughman, and Christopher Griffin. Special recognition goes out to Jim Calandro with the US Desmo club. He works with me each year for weeks getting the word out to the cyclists and also handles all their check-ins and so forth on show day. Plus, he always brings a couple beautiful Ducatis of his own! Also, we cant forget our vendors who brought out great examples of "what's new" in Italian motoring: Foreign Cars Italia, Lamborghini Carolinas, Matthews Fun Machines, and Stateline Fiat. And now what you've all been waiting for... the voting results: Ferrari Vintage: Bob Zambelli 1967 330 GTC Ferrari Classic 8-Cylinder: Jim McNamara 1985 Mondial Cabriolet Ferrari Modern 8-Cylinder: Jack Carmola 2014 458 Italia Ferrari 12-Cylinder: Adam Berusch 2007 612 Scaglietti Lamborghini: Russ Boxall 2008 Murcielago LP-640 Alfa Romeo: David Yager 1963 Guilia Spider Specialty Automobile: Willem Oosthoek 1963 Maserati 3500GT Ducati: Matt Crean 2012 848evo Specialty Motorcycle: Mark Cardell 2007 Aprilia RSV 1000 Ladies' Choice Willem Oosthoek 1963 Maserati 3500GT Best In Show: Willem Oosthoek 1963 Maserati 3500GT Congrats to the winners and again, huge thanks to everyone who helped make our 8th Annual Motori Italiani such a huge success! More pics from the local news coverage of the show! Motori Italiani | PHOTOS | News, Weather, Sport, Entertainment, Contests - WCCB Charlotte | Photo Galleries There is a funny back story. Near the end of the show, Kevin chased away a nice Bentley (not Italian!) that parked within the show boundaries; that spot then got taken by a very authentic Mini. Somehow the Mini got into the above pics. British Invasion, I guess.
