Well, this was one of the best FCA events I have ever attended.... period. Hat's off to Jim Meek and Peach, and the FCA crew for putting on an incredible event for us to enjoy. There was a rally and lunch at the only 5 star resort in SC, The Sanctuary Charleston, SC Hotel: The Sanctuary Hotel, Kiawah Island?s Oceanfront Beach Hotel, South Carolina, dinner and tour at America's first planned gardens https://www.middletonplace.org/?gclid=CPGWxt6Q4b0CFYuXOgodThwAkA, a rally and private polo match for our FCA members at Hyde Park Polo Club on their 400 acre retreat You'll Feel Welcome at Hyde Park Polo Polo Club in Charleston, SC, and dinner at Sermet's Sermets Downtown : Charleston SC Mediterranean Restaurant right on the same block as our host hotel.

This event was mega, and without our sponsors Ricambi America Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini Parts - Ricambi America, Inc. and European Road and Racing European Road & Racing, it would have cost much more...thanks go to Daniel Pass and Karl Troy (our very own Stig!)

The weather was P E R F E C T ! There is just no city like Charleston, and this weekend there were so many sights to go with the perfect weather. A walk downtown, the harbor filled with racing sailboats, and the tall ships. The MetLIfe Blimp overhead to add to the spectacle, marking Charleston harbor from the distance as seen from Johns Island Executive Airport (Julie made us stop by to look at airplanes on the way back from Kiawah) Anyone with pictures of the Harbor and Kiawah this weekend please post them.

I'm glad I could take part in just a small way and enjoyed seeing some old friends. Yes. David is old. Haha. Nice to see Hank Carpenter (wishing you all the best with the new business) You can do it.
I wish I could have been part of some of the other events but unlike you guys I work around these parts, lol.

Now the fun really began the next day, with an FCA sponsored Polo Match. This really put a crown on the weekend with the horses..and the horses setting the stage. The very cool 1952 Pizza truck was made for this event. First we have to round everyone up for the rally instructions and leaving the hotel was cool with all the cars exiting the parking garage from across the street and driving through the hotel entrance. I wish I had more photos of this and the sound was amazing as the exhaust echoed off the concrete ceilings of the garage...

Amy Flowers, proprietor of The Hyde Park Polo Club, was full of energy and enthusiasm, a real highlight. She could not have been a better host. She is in Charles's Diablo. Yes, one of our members is also on the dark side...the pizza was out of this world..well, really out of a 1952 Ford truck lol.

Darn! I meant to stop by with the 360... though it was very nice meeting Uro at C+C this last weekend as well. I should have followed Charles over. Darn! Next year..

I knew I recognized that black 360 spider.. I saw it a few weeks ago next to O-Ku..

As a final note to wrap up the Polo, just a few more pictures. And as a bonus, Amy showed ups the rest of the property including guest houses and accommodations, all available for events or rent. The property is beautifully done, with attention paid to the smallest of details. The house was in their family, built in the 1700s, disassembled, and moved, and reassembled on site. A true work of art. Then there is David with lovely date-our new Georgia FCA President and Jim, who put this weekend together..yes, thank you Jim! Jim you make that truck look small!

So there you have it... A classic FCA weekend. Something that must be experienced first hand. Something you can remember. The smells of Connolly leather...hot metal, Azaleas and tulips. Sweet perfume and dare I say horse manure to go with the Polo and streets of Charleston. Good food, good times, and great friends. That is the FCA. Why don't you join us? Welcome to the Ferrari Club of America

Beautiful pictorial display commemorating a perfectly lovely Charleston weekend with the FCA. Thanks, David! It was truly a pleasure to be there--so well planned, organized and orchestrated, Jim and Peach. Thank you both, too! I cannot imagine a better place to be in mid-April than Charleston! Let's do it again next year, same time, same place.
