My wife and I will probably be down there for a day or two. We have gone down with a group of PCA folks in years past. We are good friends with the local PCA folks who are heavily involved in the planning. It's always a good time and the new location on the golf course is much better.
Last year was the best car show I ever attended (For more than one reason!). I'll probably go this year but without the GTC. We might bring a Garwood towed by a 1964 Pontiac GTO. Bob Z.
On Saturdays they invite local car clubs to show off their cars. This year's marque is Jaguar and I was told they wanted to have more Jag's there so they cut back on local clubs to allow more Jag (only) clubs in the SE to attend. Our club, the Low Country Oyster & Motoring Driving Society was allowed only 10 cars for this year. Fortunate for me, my Grigio Alloy 360 Spider was invited. Anything going on with FCA - casual dinners or whatever - we are bringing our 612 but not for show - will be stopping on our way to Florida for the winter - staying next store at the Westin - can u just walk to the show from there?
I'm staying here as well. My understanding is the show will be directly behind it. I'm going to be surprised if its not a very short walk as it is the host hotel. We will get there Saturday, have no plans yet for dinner Saturday night. Maybe a few of us could have a nice meal at the hotel or close by?
It seems I am late to this thread, but I'll put in my words for this year's concourse. I live 6 hours from Hilton head and every year my family goes up there for a week or two just to relax. I would assume HH would have more exotics (I stay in sea pines) but I haven't seen much. The coolest and by far the best thing I've seen on the island is a Bentley 8 (or 4) LITRE! I only saw it once and I'm dying to see it again. I know friends who have seen it and all say the same thing, am I dreaming?! Anyways I'm planning on attending this year with hopes of getting a media pass to get pictures. Also, if anyone knows a good place to find exotics on the island let me know, as well as people with exotics willing to let me get some pictures. Thanks
