Unfortunately we will not be making it to the event this weekend because Margaret has to have a medical procedure in the hospital tomorrow to relive pain in her back - this is actually a good thing but very bad timing - will miss you all but have a great time

Thanks Sean - she's back home and resting - can't seem to get her in the Ferrari and drive 800 miles round trip to Savannah - guess I'll have to spend some time in the garage with a little whiskey and music

Since I live 5 min from the Inn at Palmetto Bluff, I thought I'd stop in and check out the Ferraris from the CoppaAlpina today. I was there about 12:30 PM in my 360 Spider during the supposedly 2 hour window for lunch during the rally.

Unfortunately I only saw about 6 Ferraris. A couple of red Modenas, a dark blue 430 Spider, a yellow California, a V12 sedan (sorry I'm not up on my 456-550-575's) and a dark grey?458 pulling in as I departed. There were some Porsches and a Maserati but where was everyone?

Did they get lost or was I there too early? Were they dribbling in and out? I was hoping for a better viewinng experience.

The gun is only for bears - the hunters are out running their dogs for practice and the mama bears bring their cubs up here to hide them and then run from the dogs - they come back after dark to retrieve them - u don't want to get between mama and babies - consequently the gun with hydro shock rounds - never have fired a shot but it has been close in years before - only for safety when wandering around with my bourbon

The baby bears are now bigger then pictured above - that was early spring - if you hear what u think is two women crying in the woods, don't go investigate - its bear cubs crying for mama

Love having the animals around - makes the place more interesting - no sure if i can still do a head shot on a charging creature but guess there is only one way to know for sure - was able to 48 years ago - of course that was without drinking bourbon

John my sister saw a bear cub recently in her back yard. Not nearly as remote a location as your home. We grew up in that house and that's the first bear sighting ever in 45 years. Sorry I did not get to speak with you in Asheville but my wife and I did get to speak with your daughter a bit.

Is that an Airstream Sprinter conversion you are using to pull your trailer?

John, Best to Margaret for recovery. It's not the bourbon that slowed you down, it was the white lightning. That stuff will mess you up!
