I left Hiawassee Ga. at 6:10 am and still got there later than I wanted it was about 8:24AM.
The cars were lined up pretty thick, and Porsche ruled the day. But the only car my daddy let me drive was only Ferrari, he said son don't get involved with them "off brand" cars, and I didn't I was true to my Daddy's word. But............ my sister won't drive anything but Porsche.
The cars were on the field and setting up, the weather was a perfect 58 degrees. Sun was at anytime capable of giving you cataract surgery on you eyes as it was so bright. Maybe it was just the cars.
The Miura was great, as that is one car I can remember from the 60's that came to Hiawassee for my dad to test drive. It was a lime green one, and as a kid, that was some sort of car.
Saw plenty of cars that were there last year, and plenty that were new to the field.
The only thing missing was young teenage boys "squealing" when the Lambo's went by. I guess that is an Atlanta thing. The cars filling the show ground, some looked like they could plow the ground with their nose, but I never saw one dip into the dirt.
That was a gaggle of Turbos from 1986ish give or take a few years, at least 12 plus the new stuff. I tend to like the older stuff, otherwise it is like going to the jewelry store and everyone buys the same new Submariner. I can't tell the new stuff apart. It was shocking that nobody rode up in a 458, F12, Speciale. The 16M was looking feisty, and the Porsche GT was nice to see.

Remember to come to the Amelia Island Concourse in 2015 where the Porsche 914 will be the "Car of Honor". Yes the 914. This was a nice limited build 914.

How many of you saw this Ferrari, it had the most beautiful inside, dark brown. It made you want to lick the backrest. I was thinking of buying a 599 as the prices slide down to where us regular can get one. But started talking with Steve about the California, and I have to say one has been in the back of my mind. But hard to give up the V12. I have yet to drive the California, that may change my mind. Not sure. But, I did like this inside. Would I miss the 3 pedal of the 550. Only time will tell.

Great shots Adam. I have always been a Boxer fan. Did the white have blue inside.

    Thanks, John.

I thought the interior was black, but I could be wrong. We were fortunate enough to have 3 exceptional boxers there, and I was more interested in the exterior differences.

    Regards,

    Adam

Thanks, I looked really hard and thought it was a deep blue, which back then could have been. Maybe the owner will pipe in.
Great show, and lots of fun.

Ok, now someone has to tell me what won. What was the best Porsche out of the 110 or more that were there. Who took home the ferrari trophy, Bmw all the brands, what cars were the stand out cars of 2014 Eurofest.

Crowd Pleasers, the ones in the parade that I can remember off the top of my head:

    Desmomini's Alfa Spyder

That Audi Quatro you have a photo of

    The blue Mini

The Land Rover, the big tan one

    The white TR3

The gray and white (replica) AH 100M

    The Maserati Mistral

    The Miura

The grey Jag Mark 7? Saloon

The red Sunbeam "Tiger", not a real one

    The white MB 190 SL

    My Bugeye

    Citroen Traction Avant

    Opel GT

    Back Pantera

    Green MG TC

Best of the Best won by the 3.0 CS

Ferrari Scuderia you have pictured above.

    Volvo 1800 coupe

A VW beetle, I think light blue

In not sure of the other cars, they didn't come out of my area so I didn't place the ribbons.
