good luck on a great event kevin. I would love to come out but as is so often the case, my schedule will not allow. I was at the first one however!!!
This has seriously come up on me. I will talk to my wife - I would LOVE to make it!!! With a 2 month old it may be a bit of a challenge to get away, but I am going to try. PDG
If the present list of entries doesn't inspire you to join us on the 2nd, get up from your computer immediately and go have your pulse checked. Excellent event today! Had a ton of fun chatting with various Italian car lovers. Here was the BEST car there today. A '67 Miura with a Cars and Cappuccino sticker in the windshield. ; ) Image Unavailable, Please Login
Had a great time at the show today. Thanks for arranging everything, Kevin! I saw you from a distance but I'll be sure to say hey and shake your hand next time I see you out at an event. And to whomever had the red 360 Coupe sitting on the perfect set of mesh wheels (I-Forged?).... I salute you. I think that car with those wheels is one of the best looking 360's I've ever seen.
Kevin, I had a great time yesterday and thank you for all of your efforts in organizing this event. Pictures to come in a few days.
Another awesome event. Kevin, thank you for your tireless work in putting these together. And thank you to the owners and sponsors who brought their cars out for all to enjoy.
Thanks for the kudos everyone. Well, we had another dicey Saturday morning but the skies cleared and all was dry and beautiful by show time. I believe we had our best event yet with nearly 100 vehicles on display ranging from the early '60s to today's latest models! Of course, this event could not have been a success without YOU. Participants and visitors alike make this a great gathering each year. Special thanks do go out to a number of folks as well: Jim Calandro with the Desmo club is my right hand when it comes to putting on this show. He has done a fantastic job each year reigning in the cycling community. Well shown this year with a record number of cycles in the field Brian Caughman and Topher Griffin got the cars checked in and John Abel helped position everyone. Later, Adam Berusch passed out ballots to our visitors. Of course, 131 Main has been our host venue since the inception back in 2007. They welcome us with open arms each year and we're certainly made to feel welcome. And we get some great food for lunch to boot! Automotive International is both our primary sponsor for this event and also graciously hosts the traditional "After Party" BBQ at their facilities. Not to mention making sure many of the cars you saw Saturday were in tip-top condition for show day. This year's turnout for the BBQ was massive! We also need to acknowledge the vendors that came out and added so much to the festival feel of the day: GMP Performance Jeff Trepel Automotive Literature & Memorabilia Lamborghini Carolinas Maserati Charlotte Matthews Fun Machines Queen City Dream Cars And I know you all want to know the voting results, so here they are: Ferrari Classic 8-Cylinder: Martin Moore - 1984 308 GTSi QV Ferrari Modern 8-Cylinder: Duncan McPherson - 2008 430 Scuderia Ferrari 12-Cylinder: Rob Satterfield - 2005 575 M Maranello Lamborghini: Michael Jetzer - 1967 P400 Miura Alfa Romeo: Marco Fuchs - 2015 4C Specialty Automobile: Willem Oosthoek - 1963 Maserati 3500GT Ducati: Dave Kreibich - 1995 900SS Cafe Specialty Motorcycle: Jim May - 1971 Moto Guzzi Ladies' Choice: Matt Crean - 2012 Ducati 848 evo Best in Show: Michael Jetzer - 1967 Lamborghini P400 Miura Congrats to all the winners! Was I the only one who brought a camera? Lol Been slammed this week, but here are a couple of pics from the show. I'll definitely post additional pictures as I have a chance to edit them, so keep an eye on this gallery for the next week or so. https://www.flickr.com/photos/121991322@N04/albums/72157666743265262/with/25691353224/
