Block out July 21 for Exotics at Redmond Town Center- FERRARI DAY!
Hi Everyone,
This year we want to make E@RTC the latest gathering of Ferraris anywhere in the US. We know the VINs exist in the northwest to set a record. It's just a matter of getting them to come out. We will be posting more details in the coming weeks but we wanted you to at least save the date! July 21! |

If we're to classifying this truck as as "another piece of automotive history", would it be wrong to classify the complete row of vehicles in the top picture as farm implements?

First PACCAR isn't a farm implement company unless you're talking about their logging equipment history.

Exotics at Redmond Town Center for April 28
Right now NOAA is showing a 40% chance of rain for Saturday. We call it off if it's 30% or higher. Some think it's because people don't want their cars dirty. No, the answer is we've learned that people don't want to drive out just to stand in the rain. We will keep an eye on things and post something as soon as we're certain the forecast will hold.

Yea, I just read the full narrative and they are not yet sure either. I think this is going to be a tough one to call.

We watch NOAA. Here is what they have so far.
http://www.wunderground.com/DisplayD...yName=Kirkland We keep an eye on what's reported in the morning. We also have a very light turnout if the roads are wet. If it's still a bit uncertain at 9 AM, we will hold off on calling it until after the 3:00 PM post. |

We still can't call it yet. It's still showing 40% chance on Weather Underground. Here is the full forecast. They report again at around 9 and 3. We will call it after 3 if we can't call it before.

The problem I see is that the report covers a very large area. The computer generated forecast the King 5 uses shows areas within Puget Sound where there might be rain. What I have been told the term percent chance of rain means that over the given area, the percentage given it the percentage of that area that will have rain. So while some places will have 0% rain while other areas will have 100% rain. For the King 5 forecast shows no chance of rain in the Redmond area. But for those who have lived all their lives here will know that nothing is 100% when it comes to weather in the Northwest.

If you read NOAAs report they are very specific about where the weather will be good or bad. NOAA uses several models and talks about the differences between each. We've been doing this for several years now and we tend do call it right based on our readings of multiple sources, about 90% of the time. I think we didn't call it right twice last year. King 5 extrapolates their data from NOAA. We focus on 98052 alone.

E@RTC is canceled because of airborne H2O
E@RTC is canceled tomorrow because of a higher than 30% chance of rain. We held out as long as we could. The cars just don't show up on gloomy days.
See you all next week! |

Exotics at Redmond Town Center for May 5, 2012
Hi Everyone,
We're keeping a close eye on the weather for this Saturday, but so far it's looking good. I did want to share with those reading this from out of town that we have a rate code for the Marriott at Redmond Town Center should you want to stay overnight. The rate code is L9Z should you wish to use it. Hope we're on for Saturday! Don't forget- Bugatti Day is May 26 followed by Set. Michelle on Sunday, May 27. Ferrari Day will be July 21! We hope to set a record for the largest gathering of Ferraris anywhere. Stay tuned! |
