I guess its supposed to open in 2014, anybody know anything else about this?

All i know is what the website says and that they have bought a Lotus racing simulator of some sort.

Thanks Travis for the post. Looks to be an amazing facility--quite ambitious. Hopefully they can pull it off.

I wonder whether the drawing power of WOS will be enough to turn a profit?

Seems pretty dry and of little interest to teens and young adults today.

    Baby boomers will relate, though.

    Best of luck.

Yeah, but the fuse is pretty short; we're all over 60 and were in our teens when the last of the new cars were manufactured with carburetors instead of FI. I'll go to the museum, but none of my kids--ages 44 to 15--would want to go with me.

I am 30 and excited as can be for this. The LeMay museum stays pretty busy, but it is a larger market area and might have more to offer.

I just met the guys putting this together, and I think it will be pretty neat. They want to focus on all aspects of motorsport, but also on having a hands-on approach, so that kids can have the opportunity to tinker with stuff and learn some useful skills.
