I'm getting closer to finishing some work on my V12 and was hoping somebody could give me a recommendation for a really top-notch independent vintage Ferrari V12 repair & tune-up mechanic in the Seattle area. I don't want to go to the Seattle Ferrari dealership and the Durante brothers (Tacoma) are too far south. Something like the legendary Francois Sicard, if I can be that lucky...... Thanks for any help with this.

Have you tried autosport? It's located in Ballard, just north of the bridge. Everytime I'm in there they have some sort of vintage car getting something done. Ive seen plenty of Ferrari motors int here as well.

No affiliation and I haven't been there, but I've heard good things about Josh. Might go to him myself if the need arises.

    +1 on Autosport.

Over the years I've had them redo the heads on Alfa Romeo, Jaguar, Maserati and FIATS.

Rencently I had them rebuild the Marelli distributor on my Countach.

Always been very happy with their work.

Mr. Dennison mentioned one particular engine that had been sent to Alfa Tacoma. That could have been the decision of the owner. We also saw the engine workshop at Dennison, which was well staffed and equipped. We were also shown the dyno where they test their work. As I understand it, Dennison pretty much will be able to do whatever you need. I would inquire with Butch to get the straight story.

Specifically what I want is someone to do a final tuneup (check & adjust if necessary valve timing, ign. timing, and carbs), tension cam chain, & deal with the fuel smell in the trunk. I'll wager Mr. Dennison can do this, should he choose to do so.

Another shop in Seattle is Gerber Motorsport.

They are very qualified to tune up vintage V12 Ferraris. They take care of

I'll keep Mr. Gerber in mind, thanks. Looks from his website like Porsches are his main thing though.

Thanks for the info. That 512M pretty well demonstrates how we as a species have gotten good at making a hunk of metal & plastic go fast and stop fast....

Group 2 Motorsports in Seattle employs a very capable full-time Ferrari technician. Group 2 Motorsports
Also, for those Ferrari owners who need service on newer models, G2 has recently taken possession of a Leonardo Scan and Diagnostic tool that enables service on all Ferrari and Maserati models - including those with F1 clutches.
