During the Car Guy Tour there is a weekend free so I usually head down to the Imola swap meet and pick up a few odds and ends. This year Ghibli owner Carl Mellinger and his wife went with me. Mrs. DeTomaso was kind enough to loan me her car for the trip there and back. She still lives at the Canalgrande and her son Santiago now runs the place. As you can see from the photos there is no shortage of rare bits for our cars. I found some "black" 5mm spark plug wire and bought enough for 2 engines along with the little rubber cups dust covers in 5mm. Black is OEM not green. Not sure how the green wire made its way into so many newly restored cars, but, sorry fellas, INHO it is not correct. I saw a pair of 3500 tail lights for 1,500 euros for the pair. I offered him 1,200 with no sale. I also bought an Italian front and rear black square license plate from (MO) Modena for my late 3500 #2818. A really fun day.
