    As mentioned I avoid the downtown area, a few years back the news did a story on unpaid tickets. One guy on the camera had about a 100 in his glove box.
    Starting tomorrow "das boot" will be put on your car, 36 hours later if ignored towed away.

    Did anybody see the entitled owner on the local news tonight? Obviously a child of privilege from abroad with zero respect for the laws & rules of society in the USA. Acted as if he was being persecuted unfairly!

    I work in downtown, but I don't park on the street. If I park on the street, it's pretty much an automatic ticket, since I don't have front plates on most of my cars.

    No but he has a vanity plate, think it says Hajri on it.
    Probably has diplomatic immunity........lol

    Yes, no front plate is an automatic ticket in downtown Portland (or anywhere the Portland parking patrol operates). I think it's $37, but it might have gone up a bit-- it's been a while since I've gotten one.

    Don't bother putting a plate in the windshield, either. That doesn't do you any good.

    There is plenty of off-street parking in downtown and the Pearl, and in comparison to the ticket it's quite cheap.

    Yeah, am told automatic ticket on the street without front plate. I only park a car with the front plate in the city.
