Don't go that often, and a clear sunny day in Oregon in April 😎 So I thought why not........ What a parking nightmare, after arriving I thought only about 1000 people had the same idea. I have no clue how many "lots" you can park in there. It is an industrial area, but entry after entry (5-6-7) cones and people blocking entrances. I did a 180 and left. Nobody with a park here sign .......so it has once again gotten way to big for parking provided ?
Tommy, Thanks for attending our Portland Cars and Coffee event, now in it's tenth year. Although our official opening weekend is May 13th, we did a test run on Saturday as it was the 52nd birthday of the Ford Mustang. And thus we had over 100 Mustangs show up and park in our expanded "Featured" parking area. Because we had so many attendees, and also the weather cooperated, we stopped counting at 500 cars in the various parking lots. And we have only 330 spaces in the three lots at World of Speed. So maybe not exactly 1000 people had the same idea, but perhaps 700? We will have our 2017 calendar for the Featured lot available soon on our website PortlandCarsAndCoffee.com in the near future. Looks like we will have a busy summer for 2017.
We are still working on our 2017 calendar. Trying to coordinate it with a few clubs and between race weekends. Aug 12th is the likely date for Ferrari Day in the Featured lot. The 2017 calendar will be available here: Portland Cars & Coffee | Calendar This weekend is our official grand opening weekend, rain or shine. Theme will be our default "Rare, Exotic, or Unique" As long as there is space, then it is likely a Ferrari would be put into Featured. Last year, the 8:00am lineup stretched back over a mile to the Chevron station north on SW 95th, with cars starting to line up at 7am.
