Was the Carbon Fiber an $ option when bought? Is there any other options that raise the original purchase price ? One owner?

    Looks great - GLWS

The carbon fiber and alcantara interior were options as were 20" wheels. The Owner claims a one owner car in his ad. The price is high for the market but, beauty is in the eye of the buyer's banker.

I thought the wheels were staggered and had 19" on the front and 20" on the rear?

I am struggling w/ the sls...I really want one but am not sure I want to part with the money. my analysis paralysis continues!

I have made my bias against MB clear. I have no wish to influence anyone who doesn't think much of his money. ;)

The SLS is a great car...have driven one twice but just drove the AMG GT-S and it is quite better the car. Great handling, etc. The SLS is a classic though...wish I had one in the barn...

Mercedes will happily provide a very comprehensive extended factory warranty to any SLS less than four years old (sub 50k mi.) from delivery date regardless of whom sold the car.

Complete the free 2013 engine management and tranny software upgrade and you will be rewarded with brutal performance and, imho, very limited financial downside. I really cannot see Gwings going below $100k and prices are already beginning to firm. Don't associate a winged SLS with the mean AMG model depreciation curve.

I currently own a 2012 SLS. Not only is the naturally aspirated sound and performance explosive, the car is fully warrantied by Benz until 2016 or 50k. A factory warranty extension would get me 100k miles and coverage until 2019.

After you experience the lunacy of what AMG engineered with these Gullwings, the value proposition becomes very evident. Especially after someone else suffered the initial depreciation.

I was in Essex today. I wish you could have shown me around your sls from an owners perspective.

I agree...low mile examples may actually be going up. this is a full amg built machine...not to be confused w/ other benzos.

I suggest you grab any 2013 VIN off of Ebay and speak with some finance managers at larger MB dealers. They will be able to quote you warranty pricing. Also, the 6.2l in the SLS is a robust and well proven engine and the remainder of the electronics look to be pulled from an E-Class (sadly). These cars are very well made and I wouldn't be surprised if they can run 100-200k miles with just oil changes and the very occasional CEL... Think twice before ponying up $5500 for an extended, unless you want it to enhance resale, which it will.

I understand your question Henry and I am trying to be as helpful as possible.

A factory extended warranty IS available through MBFS/MBUSA. However, it is up to you to find a dealership and finance manager that knows his ass from his elbow.

Complete the free 2013 engine management and tranny software upgrade and you will be rewarded with brutal performance and, imho, very limited financial downside.

    if it is free....

Just out of curiosity, is this related to Algar Ferrari? I've seen something like this back lot countless times on their page.

Is the price really "high"? For a 2011 or as a general proposition for the model? With this low mileage too? What is the market? Have you seen 2011's below what, $120K, or lower?
    Thanks,

    Jack
