I am surprise by how cheap the options are, they are way more reasonable than the spartan options are on my porsche.

The amount in shocking but the percentage makes sense. Bentley has the dubious distinction of being the most unreliable used car tested of 37 manufacturers for 2015.

Bentley, Porsche cars less reliable than inexpensive rivals, UK survey shows

Porsche came in second worst, and I adore my Cayenne and consider it plenty reliable. But it is what it is. Our high end rides do tend to need expensive repairs.

P.S. Clearly would not have posted anything of the kind prior to the OP selling.

Yes, but that is a wholesale number, not retail. I offered the owner $158k but he told me yesterday he cut it loose for $155k...screwy.

Keeping with Bentley's ability to loose value at around $5-$10 a mile. Most of the infrastructure in the CGT is strait from the Audi/VW parts bin. You do a diagnostic port scan on the car with VCDS (Ross-Tech: Home) you'd find the computer that controls the spoiler for example is the same one in the Audi TT and VW Beetle, engine is shared with the current gen Audi S8, (at least the V8 is) radio/hvac controls are right out of the gen 2 VW Pheaton.(http://s1.cdn.autoevolution.com/images/gallery/VOLKSWAGENPhaeton-4283_34.jpg)

The parts that make that car super expensive is all the leather, knurled aluminum, and wood that's polished like a heirloom piece of furniture. The electronics are identical to most vw and audi's but the tactile part; the part you physically can touch and see is usually upgraded from cheap plastic to knurled aluminum or ceramic coated. It gives the car a whole other feel and makes damn near any other car feel low rent.

Complements to Bentley for doing a really good job hiding the cars core so well. I know when I had an Audi A8 (D3 body), I drove a Bentley CGT (gen 1) for a few hours on a road trip with a friend, and when I got back in my A8, it felt like a rental car.

Its a gorgeous car and who ever bagged it at 155 pretty much stole the thing.
