Looking for an XJS. Must be a coupe (no convertibles, no targas (SC), please)
No V12 please. No Automatic please.
    5 speed Getrag only.
    No rust.
upgrades to suspension, and electronics are ok, but no major mods.
    3,5 Litre or 4 litre.
    Obviously in-line 6....needless to say.
If you own one or have a lead, please PM me.
    Thanks in advance.

You, sir, have great taste. Years ago, I was looking for exactly the same car you are. After a long search, I gave up and ended up with a '91 911. I was looking for a fun car with rear seats for the kids. Good luck with your search!

Its a little bit of a unicorn as Jaguar didn't sell the manual in the USA. I have a call into a friend who owns a shop in Toronto that mainly works on classic Mercedes and Jaguars. In the 1960's into the 1980's, Jaguars very popular in Canada. But as a fan of the XJS myself, most in Canada seem to be 12's and rarely see a 6 for sale here.

The combination you are looking for is rare indeed. I've only ever seen a manual gearbox car one time in the US.

I've never seen a coupe with a six cylinder engine.

Agreed, I had an '85 XJS V12 with a 6 speed manual...but that was a custom job. Finding original manual is going to be a challenge for sure!

Friend with shop said two things. The six was considered the base option and most who chose it went for convertibles. Second in general North American "collectors" tend to not want models not sold here.

Net a coupe in six and manual is super rare. Even an automatic coupe in six is rare compared with the convertibles.
