Love these cars and glws. It looks like your minimum required bid of one dollar has been reached. :)

Over $16K just now... I don't know what the 'Market' price is, or what your target price is, but seems like the auction is going well.

    Congrats!

    Texas!
I dunno if we can ask this type of question here, I don't keep up with all the rules, but I'm curious; did you decide to go no reserve on Ebay v BAT because you think the net will be higher?

That Tii on the end will certainly get the bids higher ;)
Always loved these, but rarely see them now.
Most are just a 2002, it has been a long time since I have seen one on the road.

I like to write my own ad copy. It appears BAT edits and rearranges the copy.

I have always had luck beginning at $1, no reserve, as it gets a bunch of bids early and that attracts eyeballs.

    72's are GREAT driving cars!

I have an Inka orange 72 that I think is maybe in a bit better shape than this one- been thinking about selling it as my '67 2000CS is almost out of restoration-

This is very encouraging- These seem to be as hot as early Porsches! GLWS!

I have had seven of these cars, currently have a 2000tii 73 Touring, why was the car pulled from Ebay when the owner said it was selling no matter what? Interesting? Bill HB

not pulled, just finished. Sold for $17,100, listing ended can mean a lot of things on ebay, in this instance, it says "sold."

  12. Yup. If the listing was ended early it would have said "Item no longer available" or "There was an error in the listing". This one ran until the end.

I saw that! Mine finally.... sold for $18,600.

Mine is a #3 or maybe #3- car.

That leaves some elbow room for a restoration!

I'd say mine was well bought. :)

Great stuff. I had a new 1973 tii "back in the day". Here are the window label and yours truly at a BMWCCA autocross in the spring of 1974.

tii window label. I bought it from Knauz in Lake Forest in December, 1973. It was their last '73 tii. I didn't like the 1974 crash bumper cars I had seen. So I jumped on it. Sahara with tan skai.

Yes but it was undergeared, the car really needed 14 or 15 inch wheels and a 5spd. From 70-90 mph few cars in the day could stay with it.
