Is it only the Zonda F that is illegal here in the States? How many regular of them are here? The only one I have ever heard of is that one in Arizona that gets posted on here sometimes.

None are "legal" from Pagani. Apparently you can have them converted and brought under the show car clause or something. Like the Porsche 959s. There are 2 or 3 Zondas in the US. Expect to pay A LOT!.

There's one Zonda F ready to be shipped in the USA.

Yes, it is under the "Show & Display" law, just like the Maserati MC12.

So far as I know there are no MC 12 or Zondas that have passed the US requirements for show and display yet. If anyone has different knowledge please post.

I know of Gerd Petrik's MC12. The car is already in the USA.
But i don't know if it passed the US requirements.

About B.C.'s Zonda F, the one i saw here in Rome, Mrs. Perez told me the car was ready to be delivered to the owner...

I know they're here but they seem to be stacked up at dealers and only driven with dealer plates. Does anyone know of any that have been converted?

I know some claim they've been but I still have my doubts and would like to know if and who was able to do it.

Jim - it's my understanding (and I could be wrong) that a vehicle does not make it onto the list of elligible vehicles until someone has successfully completed an application for one. The MC12 made the list as of last year.

    http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/rules/import/ShowDisplay/sdlist06202005.html

I guess it's appearance on that list might not confirm that the EPA work has been completed, but at least some portions of the red tape have been satisfied on the MC12.

i have seen the original zonda, the regular C12 or something like that at LimeRock park in conn. at a car race. I have pics of it, but its on a regular print. I saw it like 3 years ago and it had plates on it, so i assume it was legal.

Singer WYCLEF JEAN has revealed his secret indulgence, he owns a collection of 37 rare cars.

The former FUGEE's Miami, Florida garage boasts an impressive collection, including an Italian PAGANI ZONDA sports car, a bright pink 1957 CADILLAC ELDORADO, a MCLAREN F1, FERRARI 360 SPIDER F1 and a HUMVEE - all customised to his exact specifications.

Jean says, "Some people collect PICASSOs, I collect cars. For me, the craftsmanship that goes into building vehicles like these is amazing. I love the artistry of it."

Wyclef's HUMMER H2 includes a fish tank, which he fills with sharks on special occasions.

Wyclef has sold both his F1 and his Zonda within the past year or so. His Zonda is the one being spotted now in Arizona.

Eligible yes. Completed and accepted as satisfying requirements? None that I know of. Others? (The one at Lime Rock had a dealer plate)

I've heard that there are 3 Zonda's in the US 2 confirmed, 1 unknown:

    1. Red C12S- Belonged to Wyclef Jon but now resides somewhere in Arizona

    2. Silver & Blue C12-S Monza. It is somewhere in Malibu (my friend spotted it in a garage there and several others have confirmed sightings in Malibu)

    3. Apparently another C-12S is roaming around the east coast, but may just be pure specualtion.

I forgot that the owner in Malibu who has the C-12S Monza also has a Yellow C-12S! If they are infact overseas, that would make me sad. It would be awesome to see one in person, hopefully this Sunday at **********...but that's some wishful thinking.

By the way, now I know your screen name on these boards Las so I'll be able to keep you filled in a lot easier.

The other way to 'register' a non-street legal car is to ship the chassis and engine separately, then assemble in the U.S.,register as a kit car. A hassle, but it works.
