Not a good car if your tall, but a great design and easy to maintain. Not sure if that model had the three shoe brakes, stay away from those.

In some angles, it´s the most beautiful car of them all - but in other it´s just strange.
I prefer the early "low-nose" version, a friend has one of those and it looks like an
exotic woman. Sadly the SS is more of a boulevard car than a pleasure to drive,
however it´s still cheap, compared to similar cars.

The low nose are lovely, but VERY rare...I think there's only 6 or seven of those....

The regular ss really seem to have jumped in price recently -has anyone else noticed that?

Pretty cool cars, never could find myself loving them, but appreciate their unique look. And I'm an Alfa guy. Other cars trump them in that $ range...you asked opinion, that's mine. :)
Phil, remind me all your cars again? Might suit your cool collection!

    They're absolutely lovely.

If they had a Columbo V-12 and a Cavallino Rampante on the nose they would be worth millions.

What do you think is better in the $range? I'm curious!

My collection is very smallbut I really love each car...it's listed on my profile, I think..

The rear is beautiful. Reminds me of a boat. The front is good looking but not as good looking.

...immediately a Porsche 930 slant or a Pantera could be bought for the same collector car money, BUT due to rarity and styling, these may perhaps leave em all in the dust in terms of valuation. So I really can't back up my statement very well :(

    He's got a 930 slant I believe :)

I love all these old Alfas. If I could I'd own a barn full.

I'm trying to sell my 930 slant , to buy one of these if I can! They only made 600 factory 930 slants, and about 1200 of these I think...so who knows...it's always hard to predict the vagaries of the bloody market...

I LOVE those cars, but they're way to much money for me, sadly...unless you have one for cheap, that you'd love to sell me, because we're such old chums..;)

There was one at Concorso in Monterey about 3 years ago unfinished, it looked like a blend of a SS and BAT car, it was some type of prototype, wish I had taken a picture.

I never knew of the "low nose" version and after seeing the picture, I have to say I prefer the "high nose" one.

Overall I believe the lines of the car are simply stunning and it is still beautiful today.
