The serenissima agena was awesome looking...so whats the story? I realize this car never made it into production but I would assume detomaso wasnt too happy with Ghia styling a car in a similar manner to the mangusta which had just been released/shown a few years earlier? Where is this car today? Image Unavailable, Please Login

Silver, the red Serenissima actually has a Mangusta chassis ( don't know if it has (had) a 8MA**** serial number) also these other (or maybe same car rebodies also has a Mangusta chassis) IIRC Ghia did some contract work for the count - can't remember which book I read that from. http://www.tom-tjaarda.net/1968_serenissima.htm Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Funny how the real car looks much better than the rendering; usually it is the other way around. Is the rendering dated, and who signed it?
Post #4...bottom photo, I wonder what the yellow painted piece of metal under the car is for?....at first I thought it was a tow hook, but it is not a complete circle, more like a horse shoe shape....Mark

Hello Ron & THANKS!, With a magnifiying glass I believe I can make out (just barely) the other quick jack bracket. Excellent knowledge Ron!!!...I wonder if the back of the car also has the quick jack brackets?.....Mark

"Serenissima McLaren M1C", was a Coupe, built 67/8 from Drogo. The very car was later converted - from Drogo again - in the pictured white "Serenissima 308SP Spider Avional". Same chassis, enforced and converted 68/9 with "Avional", a light and strong composite material from the aircraft industry.
