From M. M. Concours this year. The car lives in Michigan near Detroit. The rear looks alot like the BRM Lemans turbine car in person. Where's that shot of the "bear incident" ? LOL Here's a few more. It actually got driven hard on that trip! Bob S. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Bears.....there ain't no bears in Yellowstone Park!! I can attest to the driven hard, the car pretty much did the round trip. Calgary to Billings and area for the Lambo rally, then back home back up and over the "bear tooth pass" through Yellowstone and over to the "going to the sun" road in Montana. On the drive down the weather turned and we drove through 3 hrs of non-stop rain/sleet and 60mph winds. If you look at the second picture you can see the rear view mirrors have very little paint left on them, well they had lots at the start of the trip. I used to be upset when stuff like this happened but now I look at the "patina" and remember how it got there....some cars I'd never do it with but this car just begs to be driven. To think that I was with some great friends and remember how the patina got there just brings a smile to my face. Ciao, Fred
I'm not sure what was more incredible.....John or his car! We had lunch with John and his wife just after the parade. What wonderful people. That man has been around! Someone has to start organizing another tour like that.....they could even invite the Iso and Bizza boys, that would be fun. Bob you would be forced by law to bring your car, we could do the Beartooth twice in one day. Ciao
