Heard rumors Maserati was considering a version with a V6. Wonder if there is any way? I like the Spider better than the coupe in the Alfa, just the opposite of the 246, where I prefer the coupe, probably because I had one.
From this small pic I don't like it much and prefer the coupe...but let's see it in person next week Rumors are: The lights are photoshopped or just a concept and the real one will have the same lights as the coupe Central exhaust by Akrapovic Removable roof panel in carbonfibre Engine cover (optional) in carbonfibre All the other things you can see are already options on the current coupe it seems including bi-colour seats and steering wheel.
I hold out hope that even if Alfa does not correct the headlights on the initial production version, that they will eventually do a more traditional glassed-in design like pictured on the spider that could be retroactively swapped into the coupe. Or possibly that there is enough demand that an aftermarket supplier creates a conversion kit. I like the two tone interior!
I cannot believe they would photoshop the lights. Everyone has said it's the car's worst design element. It would be just admitting it. Either you do something or you do nothing. Then again, we are talking about Alfa here..... I also like the 2 tone interior. Looks much better.
To be honest I like the current lights with the carbon surround.... All I reported are rumors but we should know everything tomorrow.
Funny but I've gotten used to them also. But I think most people would look at them and go "what?" Of all the external parts of the car, the two areas most often mentioned in what is a very well viewed car are the headlights and the rear view mirrors.
This looks alot better than I thought it would. The two tone colors look great. The new headlamps are also very nice but I think the old ones were kind of cool.
I've seen womehere they decided to put the similar lights to the Concept Car into the production model because of the general outcry about the current production car's -er- interesting looking - lights. Thanks to the sales success of the car they can afford it now... The pic of the spider just confirmed that... I stand cottected. Looks like the car will have projector headlights à la 8C. She will also have new wheels and what looks like to be a central dual-pipe exhaust, or quad side exhausts?? If the lights end up looking like that, I will have a hard time resisting. Assuming it ever actually goes on sale here. I can't wait to see more pics of the targa version. I think I will have a hard time choosing which version I like better.
I think they will sell like hot cakes and the waiting list will be very long!! The main reasons: open air driving, and the sound of the exhaust!!
I think I may be interested in buying a 4c in the USA. How hard is it going to be to find one? How long will it be till one can be bought (used or new, not ordered) in the USA. Thanks
So far, impossible to order. They haven't decided which Fiat dealers are going to sell them. Until they do, no dealers can place an order. I've tried -- even offered money -- talked directly to the GM--- NOTHING. But my feeling is they can be ordered in June for delivery next year.
Here it is: Alfa 4C Spider concept wows in Geneva | Autocar I prefer the coupe to be honest even after seeing these pictures. IMO the lights look too generic like this and make the car look less aggressive and less wide. Windscreen surround and roll hoops in carbon fibre with a cloth top to save weight. For some reason it seems like the interior is slightly different but it's pretty difficult to tell from these pictures Anyway looking forward to seeing it in person in Geneva in a few days. I would NOT change the standard lights but the exhaust, carbon fibre engine cover, carbon fibre vent surrounds would be nice additions to my LE when it arrives

Among its most distinctive features is the electrically operated valve with wireless technology. The study into a dual mode exhaust is in full Spider spirit, where the pleasure of driving in the open air can be magnified according to the choice of the driver through a dual exhaust set-up: one more restrained, for more relaxing driving, and one more aggressive, for sports driving.
