    Yes.

Drive a RWD Miata and then drive the Barcheta and you will like the Barchetta more...Plus you get precision handling, raspy exhaust, free revving engine, jewelry door handles, Italian mirrors..... love it!

Yes they always got great reviews when new, far better looking than an MX5 too.

In UK, the Barcheta had the reputation to be a "hairdresser's car".

Even the Mazda is borderline on that aspect ...

No matter... they used to say that about the 308 as well. Or any small, fun car. But in fact, hairdressers mostly drive closed coupes so as to not mess up their 'do.

    Nice car!

I had one in the UK and Belgium for years. Loved it. Nice engine when the variator was good and fun handling.
Plenty of understeer as expected but with a healthy dose of lift off oversteer because there is zero weight at the back.

Totally reliable too amazingly. Faster than you'd expect too. Can drive in the rain without getting wet as long as the speed is kept above approx 50 mph.

Sadly could not bring it to the US when I moved here. Of all the cars I have owned, this is the only one i miss. Had a lot of international adventures in that car.

I never ever saw a hairdresser with one in the UK. In fact given that Fiat UK only sold three of them... well not many anyway :) ... most were sold by DTR in London to Italian car enthusiasts.

A terrific little car. I spent a week driving one on the Amalfi coast and it was a perfect companion for the roads there. Enjoy her!

    Very pretty!

I drove a red/black one of these for a few weeks in Germany about 10 years ago, enjoyed it very much. Very well balanced with great steering and suspension.

Another great car you can't get in the States...

Anyone you know have a Smart Roadster in Canada? That's the one I'm most looking forward to with the 25-year old importation laws.

I know of two in the US. One was sold in 2012 (I think). I considered buying it but I thought the asking price was high given what the cars trade at in Europe. Now of course I wish I had bought it.

Nice I had one a few years ago. Brought it as a cheap run around that I only intended to keep for a couple of months and ended up keeping it for a couple of years. Roomier and grungier than an MX5.

If you don't have one already I recommend swapping the standard exhaust for a stainless steel one from DTR. Lighter and longer lasting than factory mild steel one. Sounds good too.

+1 on the DTR exhaust. Mine sounded terrific for a 4 cylinder engine.
