Wrong description...Normally RM is quite a serious company...What happen ?

    1967 Bizzarrini P538 | Monterey 2015 | RM Sotheby's

The car was built in 1985, not late "60. It s a recreation, not a original

    More home work is needed

The funny part is that the expert used for the description said the complete opposite in his last book. It look like that Jack Koobs de Hartog can have 2 differents story for the same car

    RM CATALOGUE

This sensationally restored P538 is believed to be the first of three such cars originally built by Bizzarrini himself in the late 1960s, following the run of seven original cars he built for Le Mans competition. Discovered in France in the early 1990s, this car was purchased by Roger Hurst, of Kent, United Kingdom, who re-sold it in 1995 to the consignor, the principal founder of the Chequered Flag International (one of the niche’s oldest active international dealers of fine motor cars). Knowing what a treasure he had located, the consignor domiciled the car for nearly 20 years, keeping it out of the sight and knowledge of the growing Bizzarrini niche.

In 2009, in an attempt to clarify the car’s early history, the consignor conferred with Bizzarrini expert Jack Koobs de Hartog to assess the P538, which was soon to undergo restoration. Carefully inspecting the frame and build technique, the marque specialist concluded that the car exhibited the welding, materials, and overall construction used on the later cars built by Bizzarrini himself. Mr. Koobs took several photographs of the unrestored chassis, body, and parts and presented them to Mr. Bizzarrini for his opinion. The aging engineer quickly identified the hallmarks of his handiwork and concluded he had built the frame in the late 1960s and that his wife Rosanna had constructed the fabulous bodywork to Giugiaro’s original design.

With this claim of authenticity at his back, the consignor proceeded with a full restoration to period specifications, totaling approximately $250,000 in invoices. This work included sourcing a period-correct 5.3-liter Corvette engine and rebuilding it to proper specifications with period heads, a steel crank, rods, and forged alloy pistons. The heads have been ported and capped to run on unleaded fuel. The external engine features are also of period appearance, including the alloy valve covers, water pump, pulleys, alternator, and four 45 DCOE Weber carburetors. The engine has been dynamically balanced, tuned, and properly run in, and it is highly presentable. The gearbox is a brand new ZF Synchroma 5DS-25 five-speed unit, number 006140. Additional work included reupholstering the seats with dark red leather and repainting the exquisite body in a lovely shade of metallic blue.
    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How it s possible to have 2 complete differents story from the same "expert"

Here documentation That I Receive From Sotheby as i had real interest to buy it.

    Version 1
So RM said the car would be built late 60 after the expertise of Koobs Jack Hartog.
We spoke With Bizzarrini and He completely deny theses claims.

    Version 2
In a letter dated 2009, Jack told us that the car would be built late 70
And we also see that the car would be a saloon car ?, obviously, and registration paper with a fake engine number. And how to record an incomplete car that has never been driven?

My english friend who is very good friend with Chris Lackner (Iso Bizzarrini Clubin England )
have seen the car during his construction, All Bizzarrini people in England knew about it, specialy Chris Lackner.
Tomorrow, I will demonstrate the modus operandi of theses people who for a small fee are easely corrupt. They had to make a living they said to my friend.
Chris Lackner who had in the past good reputation have destroy himself and continue to protect Jack Koob de Hartog. We suppose that they share the commission fee by building theses fakes stories

    Here the complet story..

It's a familiar modus operandi from Jack Koob de Hartog and Chris Lackner.
Jack Koob de Hartog has established a first report (paid report) and he explains that this car comes from the years 70. In his book, he explains that the same car comes from years 80 and finale, at RM auctions, to please Shelby Myers, he said that the car was built in the years 60 .
So 3 different dates have been thrown into the public and for the same car, which demonstrates the construction of a scam and motivated by money.
Hartog uses Chris Lackner as referent and this one for reasons that I do not know agrees to be an accomplice.
All invoices that follow demonstrate that the car in 1995 was that a bunch of ever assembled parts.
If you read all the bills, you will also see that we are talking about two cars built. Built with parts of Ferrari 308.
What is surprising is the silence of Chris Lackner or Michael Gullett who are always the first to express an opinion or criticism of a Bizzarrini that is on the market. The lies and fraud from Koob Jack Hartog are not commented out by Chris Lackner or Mike Gullett. This demonstrates that there is a real criminal associations within the community of Bizzarrinis.
Chris Lackner have certainly some financial incentives to accept to be dragging in the mud for his indefensible friendship with Jack Hartog.
The facts are on the internet, the facts speak for themselves .
Read it and make a opinion by yourself.

In this case, the car was clearly never put together, the body was never attach to the chassis and the chassis as NO mounts for engine or gearbox, then how honest people can see it differently*?
