1966 Bizzarrini GT Strada 5300 | London 2015 | RM Sotheby's Good car find by Olzyk in Sweden, need restoration 5 years ago ?
Not sure about that particular car, but the results of this entire auction were somewhat of a low spot in the last couple of years of spectacular gains....lots of no sales, and purchase prices at the low end of estimate, or below. Bargain price IMHO for pre production Ferrari 575 for example. Bizz 5300 still sadly out of my price range however! Regards Mark.
Not sold - it is not a good car though in MHO. "Diomante" was what people whispered in the room during auction. 0248 does not have original engine (even for American iron not too welcome)
Your paranoia towards Mr Olczyk is disquieting. To illuminate your memory, Iso A3C sold at Retromobile RM and has made $ 1.2 million was found by Olczyk. The BO216 has been very well documented and was very well known in usa Obviously, I am not convinced that you are interested by the facts but use the internet because you have a secret agenda against Mr Olczyk. For the good of the community, it would be preferable that you stick to the facts and leave out personal moods. I'll help you, this is certainly incomplete He discover Some very rare cars like Bizzarrini BA4-106 the former Le Mans racer, the 7 liters of Le Mans in 1967 (value $ 3,000,000) Bizzarrini IA30340 such as Serge Pozzoli Bizzarrini IA30244 former barn find Sweden Bizzarrini BA4201 ex Pisa bankrupcy discovery Bizzarrini P538 004 ex Lavost famous Bizzarrini P538 000 ex Giotto Bizzarrini Iso Bizzarrini A3C B-0213 ex Pierre de Sibenthal Iso Bizzarrini A3C B-0216 ex Auto Becker Germany Iso Bizzarrini A3C B-0219 ex Pierre de Sibenthal plus all the TZ, 904, Ferrari, DE Tomaso etc..etc but do you really have interest in the facts ? The reality about 244 is that car was badly restored, simple
I'm sorry that you're feeling paranoid about my post. Perhaps if you relax you will see that we are simply two enthusiasts discussing the legacy of Bizzarrini. That said, I must commend you. You have done a marvelous job of extolling the virtues of the elusive Monsieur Olczyk. Perhaps you may consider approaching him to see if he is in need of a public relations expert. I know there are some on this thread who might not commend him but you are clearly appreciative of his work. He would do well to have a man like Monsieur benmou representing him to the public. It could be a good arrangement for both of you!
Thank you for your post, I just look at the facts, and understand that some people have no interest for theses. I m not a fan, I m just honest and appreciate when people do a good job, but many others people do a great job like Starkey for Lola70, Porsche, Antonio Biasioli who made a fantastic book on Ferrari 308 rally car etc..etc... You known Antonio Biasioli ? You have seen his book ?
