Hello, I am seriously looking at purchasing a Lancia Integrale. They appear like fantastic cars with an incredible driving experience. Seems like my kind of car. I am interested in moving forward. My concern is how reliable they will be and how difficult it will be to obtain parts. Is it going to be a joy to own or a headache to own. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. ALEX
Well didja find one? There's been a few good one's come available. Had mine for nearly 5 years now...
No problem getting parts or for that matter having any competent shop work on them, mine had a complete restoration including engine / transmission etc rebuild in So Cal and its a works Martini Car
i bought an evo1 that's going to hopefully arrive in the country next year-i'm having it fully serviced before it gets here, just to make sure!
wow can you post an exterior shot one day zoo. love the car and really love the livery! such a cool car that never makes into the car shows I've been too.
As an owner for 2 years now I have some feedback to pass on. Getting parts isn't an issue even downunder in NZ. Though some stuff is hard to source such as gearbox and transfer case internals. The engines and cylinder heads aren't an issue but find someone who knows them inside out. If your looking at buying then factor in new cambelt, balancer belt and all tensioner/idler bearings plus the alternator pulley bearing. Get all of this done at once irrespective of what service history comes with the car. Then you'll know your cars service history really starts with you. My take on reliability is simple. These cars can be reliable but you have to drive them on a regular basis for that to happen which sounds like an oxymoron but in the Delta's case is oh so true. If you let them sit and just lust after them by looking you will get issues when you go to drive them. If you do drive them then the next problem is to stop driving them too often. They are 20+ yrs old now and Italian so expect the unexpected. I drive mine every weekend without fail rain or shine. Only had one let down while out in 2 yrs. And the anticipation of a weekend is great while your waiting for the week to finish.
Hi Alex, my name is George. I am new here to this forum, as I bought a 430 Scuderia. Just last year I have finished a process of full and complete restoration of a Lancia Delta Integrale Evo 1. I have been through the process for nearly two years to complete my work, the cost of the job is actually equal to a half of a new ferrari, but I am happy to have it done. If someone here would be interested to look at the process, I can arrange a post with details and photos and comments. I do have it, but in Russian, on a Russian blog, but can do the same in English here. Speaking of the result, you can read about it here, at Petrolicious, just recently there has been an article about my Lancia. This Lancia Delta Integrale Prowls Russia?s Backroads - Petrolicious Alex if you have any questions/need advise, please don't hesitate to ask me! Thank you George
my evo1 just landed-i had it totally gone through by walkers in england before it left, and they managed to squeeze in a few more horses, so now it makes 270bhp it's hilariously fast! here it is, in my garage full of 80's bricks and wedges! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Subscribed. I've just purchased a 1988 8 Valve English delivered (and converted to RHD when new by the main dealer) car in the US.. It's on it's way down under shortly.. Here's a link to the previous owner's heroic set of pictures! https://flic.kr/s/aHskapadrj
Parts for these are very easy to get excluding off stuff like interior trim. AeCar out of the UK is where I have been buying items. Cheers, Tyler
