Just a magnificent car, still so much very undervalued. Ok chassis is not prefect, but these are the kind of imperfections that make a car fun to drive. But apart from the stunning futuristic bodywork, the legendary race-bred Tipo 33 V8 engine is an all-time masterpiece. The only V8 ALFA until the recent 8C. It is the essence of the 70s, and my feeling is that people are still discovering this car.

Just drive a Monty one day and you will understand what this is all about. I have V8 Ferrrari and Maserati from the same period. They are certainly really great, but IMHO they are one step behind the Tipo 33.

A shame that this car has been so much looked down at until recently. Many were destroyed or ended up in very poor condition, that also explains low prices, as restorations are complex and costly. But I have seen pristine examples go for almost 200k€ in private sales recently.

With ALFAs on the up, it is clearly the car to buy and enjoy. It is good to rehabilitate this car, a true italian diva.

As a fellow Montreal owner for many years - Congratulations Mike! Hope you will join us in Montreal, Canada for the 50th Anniversary of the 1967 Expo where Alfa Romeo first showed the concept car. It did not even have a name then! As a result of the show car, people started calling it the "Montreal car" and the name stuck. But I'm sure you know all this... I have an original, Red Right Hand Drive car here in Michigan. Send me a PM sometime. Regards,
    Karl Robertson
