I thought the US versions of the 8C were all 50 state emissions compliant and yet this Mecum car was sold as a 49 state car. Was this Canada car or imported from Europe?

Alberto: First, the correct sale price was $335,500, post #2 did not include the sales commission. That makes the price still a pretty good buy, as many people are not aware of these cars, and how special they are. #39129 is the 10th of the 84 U.S.spec cars. It should have been fully 50 state compliant. All I can think of is a glitch in the car's computer may have caused a California test failure, and Mecum did not want to take the time to check out the problem. Or, more probably, the auction house just failed to get the catalog verbiage correct.

Knowing Mecum, I suspect it was an error in the cataloging text.

Thanks guys. I was confused by their 49 state car comment. I've long lusted after one of these. Maybe some day.
