That must be some HS. Those are two seriously sweet Alfas.

There are some really spoiled kids in that HS, or teachers are making a lot more than I thought. ;)

Oh and BTW the Montreal is for sale if anyone is interested. The Gtv-6 isn't even close. I've heard it's hard to get rid of a first car, but I wouldn't know since this is mine...

Very cool. I always loved the GTV... but REALLY loved the GTV6. Buddy of mine got a new one as a high school graduation present. Absolutely wonderful driving car... but his service experiences scared me away from them.

In the first year, it had to go back to the dealer numerous times... and worse than that it had to go to the dealer 150 miles away (where his parents bought it) as the local dealer claimed they weren't equipped to service the car.

Several years later I was able to ride in a GTV6 with a 3.0L and a brace of Webers replacing the injection system. This made the already impressive driving style a true spiritual experience!

Have never driven a Montreal, but would love to...

The montreal is a lot of fun to drive. It is very fast, but feels like driving a semi. It doesn't look big, but it feels big. The front of the car is also very heavy and is light in the back, so you get that strange feeling of knowing that your off balance. It does turn heads and is fun, so what else can you ask for. The 4 ansa exhaust pipes help the sound too. ;)

The Montreal is even more "rare" and "exclusive" then several Ferrari's.
Good friend of mine has one. Unfortunatly it is brown metallic, so less turning heads. But it drives amazing!!!
Getting parts is a pain in the @ss!! :(:(:(

There was a review of classic cars from the 70ies in a German magazin some weeks ago .. .. they where comparing a BMW 3.0 CSi, a P 911, a Mercedes SL 500 and the Montreal ... ... in terms of driving fun the Montreal was rated in first place, even before the 911 ..

At one time or another, you've owned an Alfa Romeo Montreal, a Mangusta and a Lancia Flavia HF Coupe. Ti saluto.

Love Marcello Gandini's Designs...Miura, Countach, Khamsin, X1/9, Bugatti EB110, Cizeta Moroder V16T...Montreal is a little ungapotched. It needed that mid-mounted racing engine and an independent rear suspension.

It's located in Chambly. About 45 minutes south of Montreal.
