pardon my ignorance, but would you happen to have one that would work for a 1995 F355?

    Thanks!

The charger comes with alligator clips which will go on any style battery so there is no reason why they would not work. Another option is If you wanted to wire in a connector behind the battery cables it makes for easy connecting. To do that all I would need to know is what size eyelet your battery bolts are (M6, M8, or M10) and I can send it along with the charger for a few extra bucks.

Pardon my lack of knowledge, but what exactly is the difference between a battery charger and a battery tender? Where does a trickle charger fit in? Which should one use to connect to a car over the winter or for weeks at a time during warmer weather? How long do these things last? I use 3 that I have had for at least 10 years. Is there a way to tell whether one has gone bad?

Depending upon what type of battery charger you use most of them charge up a battery to til it peaks (reaches a full charge) and then they shut off. With battery chargers they are designed to charge quickly which often results in false peaking or the battery not reaching a full charge.

With a battery tender they are not high voltage or quick charging. They are designed to slowly bring the battery up to its full charge. With modern vehicle electronics often when cars are parked stuff is still drawing current which causes the battery to slowly die. With a tender they monitor battery voltage they let it drop to a certain threshold and then bring it back up to its peak charge.

I've never had one go bad so I am not sure how to tell but having a dead battery would be a good sign. I've always used tenders on my cars to eliminate drain and overworking the alternator after not driving the car for a while.
