Related to Ted Field?

 

No, Ted Field was an heir to the Marshall-Field's department store of Chicago. He is now
a movie and music producer.

Jon Field had/has a chain of franchise restaurants including Bahama Joe's and Cadillac Ranch.
It seems as though there was some controversy a few years ago with regard to his involvements
in building some Bahama Joe's locations. Don't recall the issues exactly
but it had to do with costs associated with building the various restaurants and some
franchisees were being forced to pay for cost overruns, this sort of thing.

There was a lot of noise about it at the time but just as soon it died down.

My recollection is that Interscope Records produced some pretty offensive (to my tastes) material. I believe it was one of the first labels to promote violent and sexually explicit lyrics.

I don't think Ted was mentioned in the Randy Lanier thread, but lots of people wondered if his personal wealth wasn't being supplemented by other enterprises during the 935 and Indy days.....I once witnessed a brawl between Ongais and Ronnie Petersen in the garage at Daytona. It was broken up before a winner was declared. Rumor was that Danny objected to the attention that Ronnie was paying to a lady acquaintance of Danny's.....

 

Anyone using tax evasion to finance his motorsport hobby commits crime for a good cause in my book !!

 

TF was the heir to the Marshall Field department story family. Don't think he would have needed to play $ games. However, who knows?
