amazing that a title sponsor and cornerstone member of your series would jump ship like that. speaks for itself, really.

now the question is, can IMSA tread water long enough for both new GT3 and Prototype rules in 2016/17, or will the damage be done by then...

The damage is clearly done... for me the question is how long it'll take them to recover once the classes/rules settle down in 2016-17.

At the rate things are going, will there be any entry left in 2016/17?

I may not have seen any announcement with regard to 16/17, what monumental rules
will be in place that are supposed to be such a game changer?

in 16 they adopt full GT3 specs instead of their weird GTD specs for GT cars

in 17 they get rid of both the ProtoTurtles and the existing P2 cars and replace them with the new-spec P2 cars (although talks are already underway to see how to keep a big ol' Chevy V8 made by a NASCAR team legal, and the France family chassis builder will probably be involved too)

    here's a good synopsis: http://sportscar365.com/imsa/tusc/elkins-adresses-class-structure-evolution-for-2016-beyond/

I'll be a 3rd driver in the NAEC (team will announce when they're ready) and probably running in one of the support series. Having trouble with the budget for PWC, although it's a shame to have my 458 GT3 sitting in the shop all year!

Fly it over and race N24 with us. We can provide support and assistance. The only problem is that Ferrari may shoot U if you're any where near us but such is life...

Looks like PWC is going to be the only gig in town soon. Then they'll price that out of proportion and another series will start.

the funny thing is it's almost never the series that prices things out of proportion, it's the competitors...who then blame the series for pricing things out of proportion ;)

Really disappointing that the premier Prototype and GT endurance racing series has arrived here.

This is one of the reasons it's been so hard to decide to get back to participating in it. It's been looking worse and worse.

This is yet another nail in the coffin...
