glad they're back, otherwise GTLM field would be pretty thin next season.

Mazda's 2 diesels, and Shank will have a Ligier, for the full season.

Krohn, ESM, and maybe a few other P2s will do Daytona & Sebring, and perhaps the full NAEC.

it's a shame that once again, a freakin' DP will win the top US based prototype class.

btw I don't understand the Krohn ELMS decision. WEC would make much more sense, IMO at least.

Perhaps Krohn is looking for some glory at Le Mans and feels his interests are best
    served running in Europe?

Jonsson is a top driver, much like Tom K., deserved an F-1 ride but it never worked
    out for him.

perhaps it's low hanging fruit...I would put ELMS below IMSA and far below WEC in terms of talent pool. or perhaps it's budget. although racing an entirely European based series from the US can't be cheap, unless they have a base in the UK or elsewhere in the region.

Krohn is running the new Ligier, so maybe they're basing it out of France?

This. He wants to ensure he gets an invite to Le Mans...

Probably. But, I doubt he wants to chance it. I know he loves Le Mans.
