    two reasons:

    1) IMSA caps each class at 10 races per season, despite having 12 events; so everyone "skips" two tracks. this is effectively a cost containment move.

    2) this gives GTLM an opportunity to score an "overall" and not just a class win, which makes for good PR...I guess. anyone with a brain knows the truth.

anyway, I'm looking forward to this event...VIR is an awesome track (for drivers and spectators), an Fchatter is making his "pro" debut in Lamborghini SuperTrofeo, the Porsche GT3 battle this year is amazing and GTLM/GTD puts on a great show on their own.

I'll be there racing in the CTSC on Saturday. We run the #36 Porsche Cayman in the ST class.

I'm going to try to go Saturday, have family stuff Sunday so can't make the big race but Saturday looks pretty packed with qualifying and support races.

Is it being televised, live streaming, etc?

Please advise day and time. This may very well be the race of the year for IMSA
once the prototurtles are factored out.

Good week, so far. Need to pin back those GTLM P-cars, though... ;)

Good to see you, indaville. Looks like you were pedaling the first stint very well!

Falken would sure love to know what the factory cars are doing. They were way off pace all weekend.

I see a BoP smackdown for Porsche soon :(

nice to see them get 4 in a row though, if you include the Falken win at WGI.

btw, Corvette had 2 wins in a row at Daytona and Sebring, then BMW had 2 wins in a row, then Porsche has had 4 wins in a row. coincidence? ;)

great points weekend for our boy Elliott in GT3C too!

Thanks Peter! Conti is extremely competitive this year, especially ST.
