Spotted this rare beauty while I was at a track day at the Dubai Autodrome today. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Very nice! Thanks for posting that... I'll bet the transition back to the driving seat of that FIAT is really an odd feeling!
Always possible, and 006 (ex-Rapp) did go to Dubai... Ferrari 333 SP - Dragon Racing: Race Car Experiences in Abu Dhabi & Dubai Different wing and nose, but that doesn't mean anything. CW
CW you are very well informed.............I was in contact with the guy who runs the car in UAE on another matter and he confirmed that it was 006. I would imagine that 018 is still owned by Risi, being the first winner of Petit Le Mans back in '98.
I didn't know that Dragon Racing were also giving options to take this out too. I knew about the McLaren and 458s. I might need to enquire the next time I'm over there.
Really nice video of MOMO #30 (S/N 004) on that website. Thanks! [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0O-rdavcGYI[/ame]
Can never be certain unless checking tub s/n, but pretty sure that's 006 stickered up in MoMo livery and race number 30. At least it was that way at some point during Rapp's ownership. Several cars I know of carry homage-liveries. 004 may also be yellow at this time. Also, regardless of which s/n this is, note that the sidepods on the car are also different than 018. Still not dispositive of s/n, just as the nose and wing aren't, but it's carrying the later-style bodywork. CW
CW once again you are on the money, 006 was delivered to Dubai in MoMo livery. It also came with a spares package which probably accounts for the anomalies that you have spotted. jb
Yes, as per this website (page 2), photo of the data plate as well: Unfortunately fans at the Autodrome didnt get to see this particular example chassis #006 in action. But on knackered tyres and having only just fallen off the boat from North California, this decision is understandable. Once the 333SP has had a complete check-up by the guys at Dragon Racing, Leon is keen to see his new purchase in action as soon as possible. Ferrari 333SP. Red Peril. Dubai, UAE. - crankandpiston.com
Unfortunately the Autodrome events are never well marketed so I doubt the fans would have even known it was there. Even until recently the 1st you'd hear about an event was the day after when they would write about it. It happens a lot over here and you need to keep well connected to hear on the grape vine.
