By bringing more and more technology in motor racing, this is what we arrive at: driverless racing. At least, it will be a straightforward competition between engineers, without the need for over-paid prima dona jockeys. But what will the tabloids will have to say about the races in future? And will that still be considered a sport? The future, for the purists, is historic racing ...
LOL. fair point This could be cool *IF* they allowed the engineers to build cars that exceed the human limits for speed, i.e. cornering forces over 10g, etc. blindingly fast race cars cover a multitude of sins. however if it's just autonomous FE cars, who cares.
