The closest finish in Indianapolis Motor Speedway history. Kudos to the kid who had the balls to pass on the outside of Turn 3 to win the race by a nose. That was some serious ****! JG better be signing this kid up pronto! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpMvrm1MaaI BHW
Indy Lights puts on a hell of a show at the Speedway. I'm wondering if a narrower track allows easier side by side in the corner, or just less aero grip.
When I saw the report about the Indy Lights race, it struck me odd that they run it on Friday rather than Saturday or Sunday morning before the 500. Suppose this might interfere with long standing traditions but the Indy Lights race should be given a bigger stage. BHW
yesterday was carb day, in addition to lights there was final practice for IndyCar, the pit stop competition, and a fan festival with a Journey concert. crowd was estimated at roughly 100k. I think that's a great stage for lights especially considering that most IndyCar races don't get 100k spectators.
I'm super bummed I missed the race. We were seated in turn 1 for Indycar practice but when it was over my buddie's father insisted we walk through the snake pit, ugh. :-(
