They attached the cable to the seat instead of roll bar. Absolutely amazing. Glad they got more competent marshalls in for the GP itself.
Saw this back around the time it happened. Thinking about it, could it be that cars of that era didn't have hardened points for crane lifts and other such extraction tools (aside from the actually roll bar)? A lot of things have changed in 40+ years. BHW

I've been a fan, participant, fan again since before McL...team that is, not Bruce. He pre-dated me by aboot 15 years. The one time I saw him drive was dueing the "Bruce and Denny Show', at Thje Bridge (hampton, that is...) Sept., 1969. Denny's turn tho'.... Edit II: Disregard Edit, I hadn't clicked on the article.
