Risi FIRE James Calado!!! You don't leave the door open like that Turn 1 Daytona end of race when that close. Dumb dumb dumb racing. Racing door to door is not about the fastest line unless you are clear. James fault for the contact too, but of course he wasn't expecting him inside or he wouldn't of left it open.
Whatever. He done did blowed it. (Rob - "he wouldn't of left it open." s/b "he wouldn't have left it open." )
Risi was having fuel problems and Calado had to lift and coast for a while. It´s easy o make a mistake when you´re being pressed by a faster car and still have to save fuel at the same time.
yes I concluded later they didn't have a chance anyway between saving fuel and the GT's were so strong at end, I think they had been sandbagging. if short fueling it more reason to take defensive lines. to be a factory driver I'm sure he's awesome, but this was a big mistake at the end misjudging the GT could pull off the inside move.
50 millions investment, 4 cars on the grid, just one at the podium and nearly beaten by a Dealer Team... very efficient "your" Ford ;-)
I didn't watch all night, were all the yellow flags valid? no competition yellows? all the yellows I saw were valid.
I think that Ferrari needs to get a second car into GTLM full time. All the other makes had at least two cars; it's hard to argue with strength in numbers.
GT Racing, the Sport. Even without the result we hoped for, the 4 contender fought on equal level, some ups and dows in wet, dry, fuel, tires etc.... almost flat out, epic duels. See you in Le Mans ;-)
$50 million can buy a lot of wins. Why does Ferrari not invest in GT racing? The commentators said Risi had one engineer and no factory support.
$50 million in investment? In what? I know the budget for the entire program. Design, setting up factory, car build, etc. The total bill is a lot more than $50 million. But 90% of that covers the production car build and factory build. The race program budget was very small. The bill for the design and engineering and mfg the LM-GTE cars is no where near that number. By an order of magnitude. That number is total incorrect. And in the end-The Ford one. Period.
GT? 'Still's a prototype to me. 'Haven't seen any runnin' around town(s) yet. And yeah, pretty much a prototype is "one". (I presume you meant "won", but I think your one is more appropriate, as previously stated...)
I keep asking this question and keep getting flamed for it. As good as Risi is, there's no substitute for being all in. Come on, Ferrari. Strap it on. Are you scared of losing?
