Depends on color, track time, and mileage ( ie big difference in 1k vs 9k)

Ball park ? I would say $135-$155k depending on factors above

No affiliation but I have dealt with Bill Reilly @ Byers with pleasant results. What's amazing is that they have two!

    I would say that's right.

the dealer listed above in OH is notorious for being 20% over market. I guess they get it somehow, though...

Probably easiest to go over to Rennlist and have a look. Or even post a WTB thread. Some guys are just preparing to put their car on the market, or maybe even thinking about testing the waters. Once they see a WTB post, the PMs will come. I purchased my former GT3 that way. Good luck.

DeMan Motorsport artfully crafted this 2011, 1700-original-mile beauty into a unique and truly superior RS both in terms of performance and reliability.

The DeMan Motorsport conversion preserved the stock motor, electronics and tune to ensure reliability. However, a motor refresh was recently completed, including:
    • New gaskets
    • New thrust bearings
    • New main bearing
    • New rod bearings
    • New timing chains
    • New main oil pump
    • New scavenge oil pump
    • New oil heat exchanger
    • New intake cam actuators
The refreshed motor has only 1600 miles!

In addition, the entire transmission was just disassembled and inspected and the clutch and clutch cover were replaced with new Sachs Performance 4.0 equipment. The new clutch has 200 miles!

No expense was spared. The build (not including the motor refresh and new clutch) totaled over $93,000. The list of enhancement modifications includes:

CUP Interior Prep, Safety Equipment & Finishes
    • Interior door panels, door pulls, foot plate

    • Rennline undercarriage tie-downs

The car has been meticulously serviced and maintained by DeMan Motorsport. A complete service history is available.

Though the car was built for serious track duty, it is currently registered for the street. The OE side mufflers, CATs and intake manifold are included in the sale price in case future emissions testing is desired.

This car can compete with the performance of a CUP car, but has the reliability and durability of a stock RS. Further, its handling at the limits is absolutely confidence inspiring. This car is a DREAM to drive very, very fast. If you have an RS and are serious about tracking your car, don’t drive this car unless you already plan on buying it.

Interested parties please PM me. Additional pictures available.

    Brand new Pilot Sport Cups
Clear bra on bumper and 1/3 hood, custom wrap.
All maintenance and recalls up to date
No accidents, no paintwork, no rim rash

    Blemishes
Cup splitter scratched from being low, have 2 equally scratched splitters.
PO backed into something, scratches on lower passenger side rear bumper corner. Not easy to see unless you are down on the ground but they are there. I opted not to fix other than to wax as I didn't want paintwork.
From same PO move, two small chips in the rear wing. I added a carbon Cup wicker from Marius which helps cover them. Not big chips, but again they are there if you look.

Local interest has been good and people have commented on how clean the car is.

    History
Purchased with approx 3000km from a Porsche dealer. Came out of a collection of 15 cars according to the dealership. New engine from Porsche at 2800km. I was told the car had the intake issue.
I have owned for 1 year adding 6000km, 6 track days (3 full, 3 1/2). All fluids have been changed as appropriate and records are available.

    Canada
I am in Canada. My local Porsche dealer would handle the transaction and could arrange shipping into the US. I will PPI the car.

    Thank you, very helpful indeed.

The GT3 aside (OP wants an RS), the 2 RSs have many mods, and engine replacement and engine rebuild both at such a young age concern me. Having said that, these are all great cars and I'm sure someone will give them an excellent home.

I'm with Joe on this, the Ohio Dealer is not really off, in the last couple months, especially since the PDK only GT3, RS prices have really take off. The 4.0's are going towards the moon.

if you seriously track a GT3 (i.e. it is a track-only car and you routinely drive at 8/10ths or more), rebuilds at 10k miles are not uncommon. remember, the Metzger engines in the Cup cars are mandated to be rebuilt at 100 hours maximum (for an enduro motor-I think it's 60 hours for a sprint motor). that somewhat jives with a 10k mile road car track day motor (assuming average speeds of 80-100 mph at most tracks for those cars).

the one with the replacement motor is interesting, would love to know the story there. that car is probably not "investment quality" due to being a story car but would be a great track weapon.

except he's been pricing GT3s like that for six or more months :)

I guess the strategy is set the price high and wait for the tide to roll in ;)

I think it is more of a case where he gets in fine low-mileage no-story examples, and, let's face it, those are always top of the market. If he was over-pricing them, they wouldn't be selling, and it seems to me that he has sold more GT3 RS than anyone in the USA (or even in the world) in the last year or so. FWIW, the market is always what people will pay, regardless of what analysts may say.

Clearly he likes this model, and pursues good examples. This he is developing a reputation as a GT3 RS Specialist.

yeah, I just hate seeing one of the world's great drivers cars get bid up into an "investment" that becomes garage sculpture. but I guess that's inevitable :(

No danger there, I think these will always be driven, they are just too good not to drive!

To put it in perspective, I have 3 clients in the USA who have genuine 250 GTOs. We know roughly what those are worth. Each one is driven at least semi-regularly, and one of them is actually raced regularly!

    No worries.

    This.

He is 100% correct. 4.0 prices are now $300k+or -

A 997.2 3.8 RS is a rare car...almost as rare as a 4.0. I suspect over time the 4.0 will be seen as the '73 911RS Lightweight' and the 3.8 RS will be valued like the '73 911RS Touring'.
