So I've always planned to add a Porsche to the stable. Our little family addition came a couple of months ago so now the hunt is on and I have a couple of questions about car seats in 996/997's.

I've got a buddy who has a Targa 4S and he regularly uses a car seat in the rear but in the forward facing direction only

Most of the research I've done says you can fit a rear facing seat in the back but the passenger seat has to obviously be moved way up making it difficult for 2 adults and the child to be in all at once.

Also there needs to be an airbag disabling belt however you do it.

I'm thinking that for us to actually get any use out of the car as a three person family we will have to wait until our little one is big enough to sit in the car seat facing forward and that rear facing seat in the back dose work, but without a passenger.

If anyone has any personal experience it would be great. Thanks

You can do it. It's just a matter of patience and finding the right seat.

Generally airbag is usually disabled for front seats. Are there rear airbags in play?

I've rear faced seats in a Maserati back and 575 front.
