Sell a concour quality 12k mile Porsche 930 to buy a 430?
probably already worth as much or more than most of the 430 versions...and only going higher. unigue color?
Sure, how much do you want for that old air cooled piece of crap? I may do you a favor and take it off your hands.
I just don't want the new guy to lose his arse on such an antiquated car. I'll give him $30k to help pay for the far superior 430 of his dreams...
thanks frank...I honestly had a nice laugh. happy holidays my friend!!! I hope you are also enjoying your porsches!!! pcb
With no disrespect, if a 86 Turbo is worth more than a 430, than the Bubble on these cars are really out of control. My buddy who has two 1986 930 Turbos at my warehouse paid $40k six months ago for his 60,000 mile 86 930. I didn't know 430's are that cheap now. By the way I can understand the rare 75-77 Turbo's prices, but there were a lot more made from 86-89 than 75-77.
Porsche 911 Turbo Carrera Coupe 2 Door | eBay the link to the auction attached is for a 6k mile 88 930 to use for some price guidance. if this were an 89...it would sell for more very likely. there is a thread on pelican in the turbo section that is updated daily. title is "notable recent sales".
Yes, The MY 1989 commands a premium since it was the last of the series and only year to offer a 5 speed gearbox.
I sold my 80,000 mile 1989 Silver/Black Turbo Cab about 18 months or so ago for about $45K, what an Idiot I apparently am.
Apparently the high prices for air cooled 80's 911 series cars is being driven from a huge overseas market. The Germans want them back!
worst automotive trade I've ever seen: 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 for a (then new) 1989 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary edition. (I believe the deal was actually Ferrari + cash!) this would be up there. while I do think we're at the height of a big bubble for 911s, long term any 930 will be worth more than any standard 430 (Scud/16M not included)
