Geez, if I knew that Santa was that generous, I would have made a few decisions differently this year.

Beautiful cars. Will you keep both? To my mind, they would be a good compliment to each other.

Too soon to tell...literally drove the new one 20 feet...off the truck and into the garage next to the RS.

I've learned that 475 hp cars on DOT tires do no do well in damp 40 degree weather. So probably another day or two before I get to drive it. But will def post my POV on the 2 cars.

Just trying to keep up with Joe :)

    Bill,

I have no doubt the new GT3 will be amazing, just interested to see how the lack of manual trans effects your driving experience.

Those sticky tires no likey the cold though! :)

In the rear is his 3.8 RS, hard to see the rear wing, but the front wheel-arch spats give it away.

    Bill,

    Did you receive your invitation?

Porsche Ag are really rolling out the red carpet for GT3 owners!

Here is what I received today:

    "Dear Mr. Sackey:
As a highly valued Porsche customer, and in appreciation of your patience through the delivery of your 2014 Porsche 911 GT3, we would be extremely pleased if you would join us at an exclusive experience at our new corporate headquarters and Porsche Experience Center at One Porsche Drive in Atlanta, Georgia when we begin operations in the Spring of 2015.
We are designing customized events which will only be open to select GT3 customers on specific dates. They will feature the adrenaline of Porsche driving excitement, world class instructors, and sports cars provided by Porsche Cars North America, complemented with the amenities and special touches that make the Porsche Experience Center so truly unique.
We will also provide one night’s accommodation in a luxury hotel, as well as all meals, including a gourmet dinner at our on-site restaurant called “356", and ground transportation to and from the airport, hotel, and Porsche Experience Center. You will find some additional details at the bottom of this letter.
Additional details and dates will be forthcoming in January. Registration is not open at this time and we respectfully ask that you hold your calls until additional information is available for you.
We sincerely hope you are enjoying your Porsche 911 GT3 and that you can find time in your calendar to join us for this unforgettable event.
Thank you again for your continued loyalty. We do not take it for granted, and truly appreciate the opportunity to provide you with the world’s best sports cars.
Please accept my best wishes for a happy holiday season and a healthy, happy and successful 2015. We look forward to welcoming you into our new home in the coming year.
    Kind Regards,
    Andre Oosthiuzen

    Congrats Bill... beautiful pair!

Whats your impression of the seats? ...do you have any concerns of them being too upright?

again only limited use so far but no issues...not vastly different from the GT2 buckets in my 3.8 RS. I've also owned a set of the Euro 997 GT3 (Carrera GT) seats as well...of the 3 I would say the CGT seats are my favorite.

One thing I did note about the new LWB seats is that the base seat cushion is much longer than the 997 GT2 buckets. Combined with the electric height adjustment that is a big plus for taller drivers.

Bill congrats, stunning, enjoy it in good health. That is the first one I have seen with the Race Seats (Still my most agonizing decision when ordering mine). White looks absolutely incredible, I can't wait till mine arrives in about 2 weeks.
