911: 350 hp; cab, coupe, and awd choices Boxster: 250 hp Both have certain options included. What is the marketing strategy here? What buyers are they trying to sell to? Would any of you buy one of these?
992 Is coming soon So this is an effort to prop up demand for out going car Customers gravitate to specials and this is a very nice offering indeed - IMO
Jaz, actually 992 is still a few years away, what is coming is the Facelifted new engine 991.2 next year. I had a black edition 997 and it is basically a cosmetic options added at a better price point. l loved that car as it was my last manual 911.
Congrats Jaz use it in good health, I sold my GT3 back to the dealer a while ago and am waiting for my GT3 RS but it won't be built till November. :
I have till end of June to change it, but went with Lava Orange, CCB, Sport Chrono, Lift, Lithium Ion Battery, 918 Seats in Leather with Middle in Orange Microfiber, Nav, and a few small things. Saying all that, the GT3 was a fantastic car.
the impression is that the Black Edition seems to be a marketing effort to clean up the value end the line up, as the basic editions are featured... nothing wrong with getting a Porsche at a better price point
