thanks for the cross-post. horrible news prayers for Jon and his girlfriend. shame to see the damage to the car too.
It's easy to bad-mouth new cars for oh so many reasons, and to wax nostalgic about the cars we used to own in the old days, but let's face it....we're better protected in the new cars. I feel terrible that the fun of owning his legacy 356 Porsche left Jon exposed to serious injuries, and I pray for his swift and full recovery. As for the impaired driver who caused all of this, I hope she rots in jail.
OMG! My deepest prayers and wishes for a speedy recovery. John is a huge asset to the communities (car, f chat, city, life) and a very generous individual. This makes me so sad. I know he just finished the car from CPR. The car can be fixed. John, if you're reading this buddy, keep your head up and I'll carry the speedster torch while yours gets fixed.
I sincerely hope they will both pull through this. #$%$ like this really just pisses me off. How many times do people have to be told (and see plenty of evidence to support the fact) that certain things just don't mix with driving???!!!
Wow, I'm very sorry to hear this news. My prayers go out to Jon and his girlfriend for a complete and quick recovery.
